Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwas formally defected from the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He registered as a member and was welcomed into the party in Kano in March 30, 2026,

A president aspirant who intended to lead Nigeria to a promise land has now perfected a plan to defect from ADC just 30days later. This has vindicated my position of shadow mind of Africa leaders. It's expected that a very intelligent leader will critically reason with his think tanks before taking a major decision such as defection.

They are just looking to grab power like any other Nigerian politician.

Nawaooo. Can you see your reasoning, even worst than the leaders I am talking about. Peter Obi and Kwankwaso joined a ADC at midst of crises and your brain is telling you that the crisis is because of Peter Obi.

They are only adjusting to the present break down of democratic institutions in Nigeria presently as weakened by the APC government.
Who is not aware that the executive has hijacked every other arm of government and made them to do only their bidding.
The normal conventional politics cannot be sustained today and no one should be blamed for fashioning a way out of this shame the APC have brought to the democratic processes in electing and retaining political positions.
If tinubu was a responsible leader part of his duties as a president is to ensure peace amongst these parties as they in one way or the other contribute to the security situations in the country raising tensions amongst citizens and those seeking political office positions.

APC has nothing to do with what's going on in ADC. The way you Peter Obi supporters reason is just like your Lord, you guys use emotions to handle politics. Obi has managed to destroy everything he touches because of greed. ADC was never a unified opposition. PDP and ADC suffers from the same problem, clash of egos. Peter Obi is overrated by his supporters which cause Obi to think he more relevant than he is. Atiku only wanted obi and amaechi to get the south east on his side cause he assumes he has the entire North and middle belt vote. The crazy thing is the core voters in Nigeria are not online. The ones who come to brag online won't step out to vote, but they want to rip the benefits of those who vote. ADC are busy campaigning online while APC is busy closing deals offline. Both APC, PDP, LP, NDC, ADC will field thieves and con men for the election. But the master con will win, while the rest will run to court.

Your myopic mindset will always beclouds your sense of reasoning and objectivity.

Defection is not a major decision as you put it
It is simply moving from one party to another
It's not such a big deal especially if the defectors are not holding any political office while doing so
Even Trump switched parties while he was not yet in office and no one claimed it was a big move

There is a popular snippet that says if there are three politicians in a party, one of the three is a user, while at least another one is being used. And if you're not the user, and you look around and can’t find the one that is being used, look no further, you’re the person being used. Peter Obi left the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in October 2014. Although he resigned from his role as Chairman Board of Trustees and leader of the party in August 2014, his formal exit to join the People's Democratic Party (PDP) was finalized in October.
