Like Araujo, Batsoni may never recover from that red card vs Bosnia. Araujo since the red card vs PSG in 23/24 season(almost 4years ago) isn't the same player. I'm not surprised that Barca don't want to pay much for him. I think he'll be a defensive disaster for any high block/4 at the back team. If he was a black player playing for Italy, I could see him retiring from the national team.

Barca should go for Calvin Bassey instead or take a gamble on Jon Martin.

Even though I like him also have my reservations about him playing in our highline in a two CB system. That is why I'm tilting towards Van den ven or vuskovic if Torres gets relegated. He's also expensive just like most players today due to the current football market inflation. We need someone with recovery pace and great interception/tackling skills. I think deco is moving for him cause of his quality on the ball and a chance to make a statement signing to show we can still compete in the market. I don't know if he'll come but of he does he'll either turn out to be a success or a flop due to whether he can adapt to our highline
