Valto:e get one hack wey I share sometime ago. Was about responding with that, only for me to realize I go unIntentionally spoil market. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 6:45pm On May 02 |
jstemmanex:YES but ensure your external charge controller (or hybrid inverter) can handle such. Also ensure your charge Controller (inbuilt or external) are MPPT else you would be wasting resources |

codemaster2much:Sir, a 12v system is very limiting and stresses the batteries much more than those of higher voltages. Even if it works with 12v inverter, doesn't necessarily mean it's what's best. Also the voltage of your inverter isn't what really really determines if it would carry the induction cooker, the wattage is what you should be checking. |

Thanks bassdow: |

jstemmanex:It's even better to connect all in series than your current setup. Since you will be dealing with lesser current. |

I for buy this induction cooker but like here is non existent. My 12v system, I can't risk it brightk: |

Gshems:Na one coded oga for here push me enter am with a real review for backyard. I no just think again na straight buy one time. 12v 2000w continuous satchet inverter. So 800w is soft on it plus permanent 100L freezer. Cable to inverter becomes warm but stable bc it is just 14cm in length. The shorter the better. |

jstemmanex:Be careful of the advice you are getting and don’t fry your controller. There was a reason it was configured 4S2P in the first place. Connecting all in series means you’ve tripled the VOC of your panel. Therefore, you need to confirm if this tallies with what your controller can take, else, you will burn your controller. |

After usage for a while I think it's important to put this out there; Induction cooker is great, but not a replacement for gas or infrared. From personal experience, the only major advantages are energy saving and almost zero heat in your kitchen. The heat (Citing Dayo), is not evenly distributed compared to gas or infrared. It's more focused centrally which is not ideal for some cooking. I understand this is as a result of coil size. Pot contact surface area to coil size ratio matters for heat distribution and effective cooking, which means different pot sizes will not cook the same. Stir frying is almost impossible because a shift in contact will result in inefficient cooking. I have a lot to say but I no get strength. Bottom line is these our portable induction stoves are not superior to the alternatives. Besides energy saving, don't expect magic. |

Many thanks, my inverter would take it. My main reason is I was initially using a Bread 1.5kva with VOC of 30-500v but now want to change to Growatt 5kva with VOC of 120-430. So it seems the volt from the panel isn't enough for the Growatt to charge the battery cos it's charging with grid AyobamiOluwole: bassdow: bkuranga: |

justasitis:Thank you, I bought this. I'm getting error 4 or so sometimes. Do you know how to avoid this? I normally just increase the wattage, and it resolve that when it's very hot. But what's causing this error gangan? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Dabss(m): 8:20am On May 03 |
Guys I changed my inverter to Lvtopsun 4000w inverter yesterday and the inverter has been randomly turning itself off and on. What could be the likely cause? Battery voltage is not low. |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Litewriter: 9:45am On May 03 |
😂😂 I use my 2100 maxi induction cooker on my 12v 1.5kva haisic inverter, and it runs efficiently without problems, I follow the pattern a colleague mentioned earlier, I use the 1000w settings for few minutes to get whatever I'm cooking to start boiling, and use 800w for the rest of the cooking. Fast and efficient. Note that, to do this, you should have at least 16mm cable from ya battery to inverter, cus you'll be pulling close to 90a. Gshems: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jefferyzz(m): 11:10am On May 03 |
Ur 2.5mm cable should be ok for your setup if 1. The length of ur dc cable is within or below 15yards 2. Ur 330w panel isc is between 9-11a The voltage drop with this is less than 3% If ur setup conditions are higher than this. Go for 4mm. You should not und any condition consider 6mm for 2pcs of 330w panels in series not to talk of 10mm. Cables are not cheap. Any information u get here, always "dyor". My own inclusive. Your problem my b due to d efficiency of ur CC, or orientation of ur panels, or d quality of the panel itself (u might av gotten a generic or a relabeled panel) EMuyi1: |

bkuranga:I have never experienced such ever since I have been using the Fred infrared cooker for over 8 months now. It has been serving my family of five well and the cooking is great just like charcoal stove cooking but much more faster and energy efficient. However, the error could be as a result of the magnetic pot you are using on it. The infrared cooker does not require a magnetic pot to work unlike induction cooker. You should confirm this by using any regular pot on it and observe if it shows the error. You can even start by touching the Power On, then Touch BBQ - 1200W for instance, and then reduce or increase the wattage. I have just bought extra two for my clients .

Please everyone how good is sms 5kva 24v hybrid inverter? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 2:03pm On May 03 |
Jefferyzz:YES until He finds himSelf needing to upgrade once again. Guess He followed similar recommendation earlier when He/She went for a 2.5mm cable. Last I checked, there are Aluminium Copper alloys in market with looks similar to what comes by default on most solar panels. I rather get a 6mm or 10mm of that if looking to keep costs low. Except of course, OP intends remaining on his current solar capacity for rest of his/her life else it pays to not just plan for today; at least the wise doesn't plan for just today BUT the future |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 2:05pm On May 03 |
Deluxe8000:it's a regular low quality inverter / brand. Who knows, there just might be another called MMS. And seriously, I do know batteries are expensive but anything 5kva and above ought be minimum of 48v |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bkuranga(m): 3:06pm On May 03 |
justasitis:It's been very effective when working for me too. I was using Qasa before this, and this one is far better. Just this weird error. I will try another type of cookware. In fact, I will also buy more of this cooker in case my clients need one. Thank you. |
