Seyi Tinubu Brokers Peace Between Oshodi-Isolo Council Chairman, Almarrof-Oloyede, and MC Oluomo

The lingering feud between the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof-Oloyede, and the President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo has been resolved with both parties promising to bury their hatchet and work toward the success of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections especially the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The two warring factions pledged to cease all hostilities and foster peace for the benefit of Oshodi-Isolo, Lagos State, and Nigeria as a whole.

The peace accord, which was brokered by the President’s son, Ambassador Seyi took place in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, where a few Chieftains of the NURTW were present as well as the Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman.

Speaking after the peace accord, Otunba Almarrof-Oloyede stated that the unnecessary bickering has been put behind them and that all hands will be on deck to ensure that peace and harmonious relationships continue to exist in Oshodi-Isolo.

The council boss also reiterated commitment to maintaining the peace accords and promised overwhelming victory for candidates of the All Progressives Congress APC from the President to other candidates in the 2027 general elections.

He commended Ambassador Seyi Tinubu for his consistent intervention and support, promising to continue to appreciate him.

Otunba Almarrof-Oloyede further appealed to political gladiators in the council area to continue to mobilize for Mr. President and the party as the 2027 general elections approach.

Seeing This Seyi irritates me, we had president's that did far better than his father and yet their sons were not displaying eye service as if we voted them and not their father. Seyi should go and face his personal business as a man and leave his father's Kabiyesi government alone

The National Industrial Court of Nigeria sitting in Abuja has ordered officials of a faction of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) currently occupying the union’s national secretariat, including the present management team led by Musiliu Akinsanya, to vacate the office in the Federal Capital Territory.

The judgment also directed the claimants led by Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa to take over the affairs of the union forthwith.

Delivering judgment in Suit No. NICN/ABJ/203/2025 on March 6, 2026, Justice E. D. Subilim held that the defendants and anyone occupying the office through them must immediately vacate the premises and hand over possession to the recognised leadership of the union led by Baruwa.

The claimants in the suit include Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa, Bello Adamu, Eugene Eze Job, Dajuma Saidu, Prince Isah Dahiru Usman, Suleman Adamu, Odion Olaye (JP), Chief Herbert C. Iwuji, and Muhammed Bello Madu.

Others are; Olajide Abideen Abimbola, Lekan Salami Folorunsho, Monday Eleazar, Comrade Chukwudi Asogwa, as well as the National Union of Road Transport Workers.

The defendants are; Alhaji Najeem Usman Yasin, Alhaji Tajudeen Badru Agbede, Alhaji Kayode Agbeyangi, Kayode Agbeyangi, Alhaji Alhassan Haruna, Aliyu Tanimu and Alhaji Haakeem Adeosun.

In the suit, the claimants had approached the court seeking orders restraining the defendants from occupying or parading themselves as officials operating from the union’s national office in Abuja.

Justice Subilim, after reviewing the arguments and evidence presented by the parties, ruled in favour of the claimants and directed the defendants to vacate the union office and cease further occupation of the premises.

The court also ordered the defendants to hand over all property, documents and facilities belonging to the union within the office to the recognised leadership led by the claimants.

It further restrained the defendants and their agents from collecting tickets or fees from union members across the states of the federation.

The judgment is expected to restore control of the union’s Abuja secretariat to the leadership recognised by the court.

That Local Government structure needs to change, Isọlọ is now big enough to have its own LG rather than being tied to the NURTW heavily influenced Oshodi.

Wow, this is great. A master negotiator and we had no idea. Quickly send him to Sambisa to negotiate with Fulani Islamists and Bandits. If he can settle the Oshodi- Isolo situation, then resolving the bandit issue would be a piece of cake. This is the best news I have heard all year

Nairaland is supporting anarchy. Don't u people know that MC has been removed by the Court but the judiciary could not enforce the judgement because of his link with Tinubu.

If d court want to remove a governor, it's not necessary they put d name of d sitting governor there cos d case could span many years and d present might not been there at the time of d judgement. Sayings his name is not in d judgement is BS. The office is wat matters
