Dear Nigerian entrepreneurs, If your business model heavily depends on stable electricity, think twice before jumping in blindly. This is not to discourage anyone — it’s reality. In Nigeria, power supply can humble even the best business plans: You budget for rent, salaries, inventory, and marketing… then diesel and fuel become your biggest expense. One blackout can ruin production timelines. Perishable goods can spoil. Machines can get damaged from power fluctuations. Profit margins disappear trying to keep generators running. Businesses like cold rooms, laundries, cyber cafés, printing hubs, manufacturing, salons, bakeries, data centers, and anything energy-intensive need serious power contingency plans before launch. Before investing, ask yourself: - Can this business survive 8–12 hours without electricity? - What’s my monthly generator/fuel/inverter cost? - Do I have backup power options? - Will my pricing still make sense after energy costs? Too many people enter certain industries because they see demand but ignore the operational reality of doing business in Nigeria. A good business idea without reliable power planning can quickly become a financial trap. Build smart. Calculate hidden costs. And never underestimate NEPA’s ability to disrupt your projections. Any business that depends on light in Nigeria don't do it. |

Undoubtedly currency speculators aka Dollar hoarders, they held on to their fake dreams that naira was going to hit 2000 to a dollar and they hit ground zero like a heavy bag of cement 😂😂😂, again food hoarders especially rice and beans, infact na their own worse pass. |

They are so fragile that they can be happily Eating, healthy and next minute they are falling and you are watching life leaving their body. I regretted wasting my scarce resources on that business. Oh did I forget to talk about how expensive their feeds were? Or when it was time to sell them, how they were being under priced asif I stole them. Driving an old Keke. No lost but all efforts goes to maintenance, food, rent and clothing. No big project executed with the profits. Year in year out. No wonder drivers are always looking rough. Yes they eat whatever that they want, but cannot execute a big project like building house or buying land. Stay away from old/3rd hand keke |

Lamasta:I don't know how you guys complain about GLO being poor, I've used GLO for over a decade now and my GLO network is the best for me, I use MTN and Airtel as well, but GLO services ahnnn, my own no dey disappoint me including in rural areas. Except say na timid village like where I served at Benue. And also they've got they best sub for me, with #875 I use 3gb every 72 hours. A friend once told me I was lucky, can my sim card be different?? We might be at the same location meanwhile your GLO network might be poor but mine hardly gets that poor. |
