To be frank with all due respect, Atiku is not a political strategist. He is like a mere politician who doesn't know when to move and when not to move. He seems not to be calculative. He is not good at political forecasting.

RealGora:
If Atiku contest the 2027 election under ADC and obi contest under NDC both of them are going to lose the election. Obi will bring the southeast but kwankwaso cannot win any state in the north apart from Kano. Wether we like it or not the contest is over. Obi and atiku will not smell the presidency in 2027 simple.
So some stewpid people will still vote for Tinubu after his abysmally poor performance? I spit on them in advance. May poverty never depart from any poor household that will vote for Tinubu.
Re: The Only Mistake Atiku Abubakar Made In ADC by bluefilm: 10:17pm On May 05
It's all over now for Atiku

No matter what happens to pitaobi in the NDC, Kwankwaso will be the preferred northerner now in the eyes of so many youths when it gets to the turn of the North

If Atiku had supported a southern candidate in 2023 by 2031 he will be contesting and will surely have won. But every election season

ATIKU’S MISTAKE
lemme tell you something you fail to realize, once Atiku sees that there is no pathway for him to win in 2027, he might most likely switch alliance to Tinubu cos for Tinubu, it is sure that he can't continue beyond 2031 unlike Obi that might change his mind and tell you that he has the right to contest for another term, in case he Obi wins the 2027 election. So Atiku is better aligned with Tinubu than Obi especially as age is seriously not on his side and 2031 will be his last chance to take a shot at the presidency. And all that talk of Atiku should be an elder statesman and gift himself a lasting legacy by supporting Obi, do most Nigerians look like a people who care about legacy to you? You guys just need to stop dreaming or hoping that you can manipulate others to do your wish, something you can never do for others. Face reality.

You keep opening nonsense threads. Atiku’s 1st mistake was trying to outshine his master Obasanjo. But his fatal mistake was bringing Obi into prominence by making him his running mate in 2019.

Why was it a fatal mistake?
1: because OBI did not add any additional votes from the SE than they got under Jonathan in 2015, which is the purpose of a running mate. SE would never have voted for BBugari so he had nothing to lose 3 everything to gain by selecting a running mate from another region. instead he became the man who snatched away his date with destiny in 2023 by leaving the PDP with SE votes. He is also the one that will ensure he can’t win in 2027.
I'm a data guy, so let's see what data says, shall we?.

Before and after serving as the 11th Vice President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 under Obasanjo, Atiku Abubakar has contested elections to be Nigeria's President four times, including in 1993, 2007, 2019, and 2023, but lost each time. For emphasis, his former boss, Olusegun Obasanjo (PDP) scored 24,456,140 votes representing 61.94% of the total votes.

In 2007, Atiku Abubakar contested the 2007 presidential election on the platform of the Action Congress (AC). His running mate was Benjamin Nwabueze, and he scored 2,637,848 votes, representing 7.45% of the total votes cast.

He did not contest the 2011 presidential election, in which the eventual winner, Goodluck Jonathan (PDP), scored 22,495,187 votes, representing 58.87% of the total votes.

Now pay attention henceforth because this is the point I want to make.

In 2019, Atiku Abubakar contested the 2019 presidential election on the PDP platform, with Peter Obi as his running mate. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (PDP), scored 11,262,978(Pay attention), representing 41.22%. Atiku won in 17 States FCT (Federal Capital Territory). This represented the most votes Alhaji Abubakar has ever received in a presidential election. Notice the presence of Mr. Peter Obi in that ticket?.

Now fast-forward to 2023, Atiku Abubakar contested the 2023 presidential election on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) platform. His running mate this time was Ifeanyi Okowa, the immediate former Governor of Delta State, and his vote haul plummeted to 6,984,520 votes.

Your argument that Alhaji Abubakar made Peter Obi prominent by choosing him as his running mate in 2019 is nonsense. Why did Ifeanyi Okowa not go on to become a prominent figure in Nigeria's political landscape?. Did he not also deputize Atiku Abubakar?. And why did the votes count in that election plummet?. Before that, in the 2007 Presidential election, Atiku Abubakar scored a depressing 2,637,848 votes, representing 7.45% of the total votes cast

The point is value. Who adds value and in which dimension?. Peter Obi brought it in intimidating measures. If you understand and can extrapolate the import of the above information, you will perhaps agree that a further interrogation of your submission becomes nugatory.

The same people who did most of the cheating are also the ones crying rigging the most.
All researches done after rhe last election clearly showed that the online wailers did most of the rigging.
The same way the people getting arrested on daily basis for drug trafficking are also the same people calling others drug barons.
Projecting their lives onto others.

I gave up on Atiku after his Arise Interview, where he proudly declared that "the North is my political base", and then irritatingly tried to draw Obi into his sectional idiocy by going on to claim "just like the South East is Peter Obi's political base and the South South is Amaechi's political base".

It was at that moment that I realized that this man was not wise.
It is called stronghold, every politician has a base he/she generated massive votes or support from.

The major mistake of Atiku is coming out to contest again when he visibly know the sentiments waiting ahead of 2027 general election. He should've respect the zoning formula and support a candidate from the south. As it stand now, he may be force to support the incumbent if they reach out to him. Contrary to what people are saying, should be decided to step aside, he may never support those that caused a vital blow to his last chances, especially peter Obi that did it twice in 2023 and again this time around.

Were you a kid in 2007 to have known that he contested under the regional party when PDP was the incumbent with almost 30 states. Like the person you quoted rightfully said, South east votes would've gone to Atiku in 2019 irrespective of whether he chose Obi as vice or not because SE was a PDP strongholds then, and they were not likely going to vote APC in that election.

Why not talk about OBI's mistakes also, are you saying he is infallible?
Of all the presidential candidates, he has the lowest IQ. A person with sense would have remained in LP, built on the achievements of 2023. And if at all that wasn't possible, he should have found a different political party. He had no business joining ADC, when he knew clearly Atiku had presidential ambitions. Moving with the crowd is his style, there's zero strategy, or long-term vision.
keep deceiving yourself, continue covering the truth. If Obi had remained in LP, the party would have continued to experience chaos orchestrated by the APC. this song you just sang is already stale

Even if Atiku sees this, he believes in what the marabout told him that he must become president of Nigeria one day.

He starts the history of political leadership of Nigeria from 1999, as if Nigeria began in 1999, as if Nigerians suffer retrograde amnesia.

He doesn't want to see that the north, mostly his Fulani, led Nigeria for more than 30 years before 1999.

Peter Obi may become like Atiku.

Jumping from party to party makes you look unstable.

LP would have been the best for Obi. Remain and build it.

In fact Atiku/Obi in 2023 would have probably won the presidential election narrowly.
That was their chance gone.

Obi knows that 2031 will probably go to the North, hence his promise of single term. But people won't believe him, even if he might truly mean it.

Wrong Peter Obi is atiku's future blessing but Atiku's mistake is failing to read perfect timing. He did it with Obasanjo and then with Jonathan in supporting groups buhari thinking he buhari will serve 1 term and handover to him? how daft and desperate can atiku be? Now it is time for the South and atiku knows this but failing to read the timing and align with it for the future blessing. He always wants it now.

atiku doesn't know how to wait for the right time!
Re: The Only Mistake Atiku Abubakar Made In ADC by tnerro1(m): 12:02am On May 06
Atiku always pretends to be politically smart but all his actions have shown otherwise. Even me that is not a politician would not make the silly mistake Abi na decisions he has been making but greed is a strong factor in him.

First you tried to fight obasanjo because you tot he was nothing and you were bigger than him, today you have not achieved your goal to be president and you are kissing his ass up and down.( because of greed)

Buhari had done 8 years in power and an unwritten agreement said it was the turn of the south but you stubbornly refused to allow the south to contest and be the king maker just like Tinubu did all these years till the time was ripe. After Buhari’s poor performance in office, that election was there for PDP to win but you scattered everything ( because of greed)

You say you are smart , so how can you pick okowa as a running mate to contest a serious election in Nigeria ahead of Wike🤣 what a stupid political move, even myself will not make such a useful mistake.

The south has 4 years to go, instead of you to play kindmaker again thereby shorting your route to the presidency, greed has blocked your eyes again by thinking you are better than anyone in the south.

With the widespread suffering going on in Nigeria under Tinubu’s inhumane policies, a unified opposition would easily win this election, an Atiku going round the north and campaigning for an opposition candidate from the south would be a powerful force to pull voters out emmass from the north, but as usual, greed has blinded him again.

With this greed , you will never achieve your goals. You have a lot to learn from President Tinubu, a whole lot to learn on how to be patient and calculative to get what you want. Money is important in politics but so is patience , cunning and a calculative strategy, all of which Tinubu has and of which you are lacking seriously.

Can you imagine the kind of easy win it would been if all the big wigs within the opposition remain in one accord in one party? Tinubu would have been gone for good in 2027 even he them try whatever shege up their sleeves! But the thirst for power has decided them and their voting power! It is so sad.
