This match just so much reminds me of Barca's campaign last season. Look at how PSG defended as a team, a whole bunch and well coordinated. Everyone contributed their quota while still looking dangerous at the tail end of the game. Despite Bayern's piling of pressure, they maintained their form.

This is something Hansi Flick can learn from. We had the upper hand with one goal ahead last season with just few minutes remaining and we were still trying to get an additional goal despite how shaky things looked.

Look at how both teams totally changed the way the played in the first leg and still looked very dangerous and competitive despite not playing the gung-ho style they both played last week. The goalkeepers were a major part in the scoreline being respectable but the defenders put in a major shift, especially PSG's.

Pacho and Mendez did great work, even Zaire Emery did decently well. For Bayern, Laihmer and Upamecano stepped up.

I'm afraid we have numerous positions to reinforce this coming season that we don't even have the necessary funds to cover all even with 1:1 currently cos our financial muscle haven't strengthened yet after being away from our stadium for years.

We have to fill up striker role, CB and possibly RB. And then we need an assistant for wingers especially for Raphinha. I hear we're looking for someone who's versatile on both flanks, would be a great investment since such a player would be able to relieve both Raph and Yamal simultaneously while getting good minutes as well. We might need a DM but it's slightly covered with Bernal and Gavi back.

The major problem we kinda have is our inability to be able to sell players and for good sums. And one uncanny trait within our club alone where players refuse to leave the club despite being unwanted and performing poorly or suffering with lack of playtime.

People I'd like to move on this transfer window to fund wages space and generate funds for future strengthening are:

De Jong sold for €50mn
Olmo for €45mn
Casado for €20mn
Araujo for €30mn

Lewandowski and Christensen must be let go.

With these we can seriously get some good players with this fund combined with our €100mn war chest for the transfers, we're good to go in covering at least 5 positions. All the more doable if we embarked on smart buys like the Joan Garcia transfer which has proven to be a master stroke despite being quite cheap.

I need that transfer vision once more and we dearly need it. Just like how the Pedri purchase became instrumental for us.

I'm actually glad other options are being looked at. We need a pacy CB as fast as Araujo or better with a left foot and overall top tier defending. I don't mind being decent on the ball... That's what Cubarsi is meant for. I mean Flick did a miracle with how Gerrard Martin now handles the ball.

That guy in Dortmund I think that was very pacy and likes the sliding tackles like Cubarsi to intercept deadly passes in the box, I've forgotten his name. He'd work well for flick style with his pace and accuracy.

I don't really want a really big name for that role. Just a good player with good scouting. How PSG got that Pacho guy I don't know. But he's been a revelation. He's still raw and needs polishing but the potential is there.

Make we open eye enter french league. They can spend big ticket money for the forwards.

What sealed Bayern's fate was probably because they lacked clinical finishing at the box.
This match just so much reminds me of Barca's campaign last season. Look at how PSG defended as a team, a whole bunch and well coordinated. Everyone contributed their quota while still looking dangerous at the tail end of the game. Despite Bayern's piling of pressure, they maintained their form.

This is something Hansi Flick can learn from. We had the upper hand with one goal ahead last season with just few minutes remaining and we were still trying to get an additional goal despite how shaky things looked.

With what I've seen. PSG has already won this UCL. I hardly see what Arsenal wants to offer to this well oiled machine.

You have to put things into proper perspective. Go and check the league minutes accumulated by these PSG players and then check them against Barcelona players. Dembele and Kvaratskhelia hardly plays in their league matches. This is why they were pressing and hunting down opposition players deep into the match with alot of energy and maximum intensity.

Compare that to the Barca players who hardly get any rest during the season and you could see they're worn out, quite unable to maintain the same level of pressing as a coherent unit, deep into the campaign.

And yes I agree with your points that Barca needs to be more pragmatic in these types of matches but circumstances does not favour us and man for man, we do not have their level of players especially in defence.

I can't help but think that Barcelona held back Dembele from being the star he was meant to be. Now a ballon d'or and aiming to become a back to back UCL winner. This is something he never was able to achieve during his time at the club. I hope the same fate does not befall Lamine Yamal. Having a single player who is expected to paper through the cracks and provide UCL domination is a pipe dream. You have to build a strong squad. You have to spend that money to get these players. This was also how the club wasted the later years of Lionel Messi and the GOAT that should have won nothing less than 8 UCLs in his career, ended up with only 4.

Barcelona must rise up and address this squad imbalance. We got two players sent off for same offenses in the Quarter finals this season, making it impossible to compete under such situations. No other top team make such silly, text-book errors every single time there is a top European clash.
