This is what it means to have a region focused...no wonder the East is the most developed region in Nigeria from HCDI to infrastructure to buot up area and yet they aren't the president You have tried Fulani as president...they failed woefully Tried Yoruba as president... He is failing woefully You have tried Niger Delta .... He didn't perform fantastically Well... It's only intelligent thing to try East! |

If the governor can achieve that, then he should be made the next minister of power after his second tenure. BTW, Dangote is targeting 20k megwatts of power. That man is a one-man general. |

Enugu has enough coal. China still uses coal to fire up their power plants. I wonder why we stopped using that cheap energy when our powers sector completely collapsed. Many African countries are able to supply themselves 24hours of power without much cost to their citizens. Over here it has been one excuse or another for decades now. Even this clown that said people shouldn't vote for Him if he doesn't fix the sector has spent 3 years preparing to go another term hasn't achieved anything in the sector. Yet we spend billions on irrelevant projects like those coastal roads leaving critical sectors like power in the mud. No new investments yet we expect the sector to improve. How can Nigeria ever develop with a dead power sector? |

tishbite41:You know why I said it is all audio is because, Nigeria is a signatory to the Paris accord on Environmental pollution. All signatories will not be allowed to invest in initiatives that increase pollution. There is a reason why the govt has not even tried to revive Oji River power station, which is a coal fired power station. I don't understand why they prey on the ignorance of the people for this. |

False.. Nigeria is a signatory to one yèyé UN charter against using fossil fuel like coal for energy generation.. something about greenhouse gases, this effectively crippled most African & South American countries as they were forced to sign it, yet the US , UK and China (biggest polluters) aren't signatories and they burn megatons of coal daily with reckless abandon So who's the fool here? We have stupid sets of leaders with no forward thinking faculties. You're rushing to ban use of coal cos of global warming to please the WEST whereas same WEST is utilizing coal for their own power generation. |

Irony1:Then Nigeria should withdraw. Its no big deal No one will kill Nigerians if Nigeria withdraws from such agreements. Many countries have done similar things before. If you sign an agreement and it does not work out for you, you withdraw from the agreement. You don't stay there and die simply because you were hoodwinked into signing such agreements.. |

MadPolitician:We don't have the balls for that. The UK that teleprompt our Govt isn't a signatory. They ordered us to sign, effectively crippling our power generation whilst they continually burn. They don't want competition in that sector |
