I watched her video where she talked about how a landlord refused to give her house because she’s from ebonyi state.

I remember when I was looking for a house, i finally found one, I have forgotten agent fee but the house was 850k to pay 700k yearly.

I paid, then later around like 3 hours, the agent called me and said the landlord has received the money and he said “landlord said I should ask you where you are from” I told him “Ebonyi state”…

Later that night he called me back and said landlord talk say the house na 750k yearly and not 700k, that I should send 50k immediately or send my account number for a refund because another person is willing to pay that 750k that same night😓…within me I knew what happened and with no argument or “abeg”…I sent my account number for him to refund me.

3 days I never see refund😂 it was after a week of constant disturbance from me till he refunded me.

The feeling is real even though this story may not be.

Or people from east? Or hausas or benues? Or Yoruba only? To me,all men are the same, irrespective of your tribes.As a Yoruba person,l would even prefer ibo to my tribe persons,but many Yorubas would not, because some complain about conspiracy or some irrational behavior or l sabi pass you behavior among ibo tenants, base on their past experiences.Thats why. We all, should learn how to bear with one another.We all are tenants here in this world,we brought nothing here and wouldn't take anything out, we should be our brother's keeper as life is short and our sojourn in the world is but for a moment.

People discriminate all the time. I have seen many Igbo landlords in Lagos say they prefer fellow Igbos and non-Yorubas, and Yoruba landlords say no Igbo man will be allowed in my house. Just one experience is what someone needs to shape their opinions about life.

tribe doesn’t count mostly, human behavior and attitude differs, you can’t use one or few experience or behavior of people to judge the others

In my house,the igbo tenants have been quite pleasant than the Yorubas we have had,I am yoruba and I really don't care where you are from.....but I have seen tenants do really terrible things to their landlords, one practically tore down the pop ceiling in his apartment because he was being forced to leave after owing rent for over a year and I had a personal experience with one enugu woman that always love to pound yam which isn't a problem but doing that on the first floor is unacceptable.

Na people's experience dey cause am. My Papa would almost not give his house to an Igbo person again, and even an Ekiti or Ondo man cuz of previous experiences. The day Kenneth and Stanley who were roommates nearly kpaid themselves when fighting na inn my Papa start to dey stereotype Igbos. Plus Aunty Tina com turn her room to brothel.
