The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.

On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.

But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.

It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.

This life... from time in memorial people dey always get breakthrough in whatever time or season. Na make God, creator of universe hear our prayers . I never see the regime wey favour all Nigerians at once since wey dem born me. I dey primary school wey baba Fela don dey till now and some people still dey make am while some kpai inside the struggle. Life nor fit balance. Make God help install person wey fit at least reason the basic amenities for the common man

Why other Government no build am and put toll gate on top am?

I will happily pay for the toll and spend some few hours on the road, instead of spending days on the road because it's bad.

Tinubu wants to also take credit for this? Road I even plied under Buhari. Despite paying subsidies, Buhari did a lot of infrastructure.

But I think better roads from the food producing areas into the cities will help reduce the cost of food in the cities.

Good job, but I'll not advise anyone to travel a long distance if the destination has an airport. It's better to borrow to pay for flight ticket than do same to for ransom.
