NDC Will Decide Whether I'll Be Presidential Candidate Or Not - Kwankwaso by Dailybellzz(op): 12:21pm On May 08

Former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso says the Nigeria Democratic Congress will decide whether he will be the party’s presidential candidate or a running mate to Peter Obi in the 2027 presidential election.

Mr Kwankwaso, who was the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, polled 1,496,687 votes nationwide in the last general election.

When asked whether he would agree to work with Mr Obi in any position, he said the decision would be made by NDC.

“That is a decision the party will make,” Mr Kwankwaso said.

He also said that his new political party had yet to zone its presidential ticket to any region, adding that the party would decide within a few days.

“This debate is still ongoing within the NDC party on whether the presidential ticket should remain in the North or be moved to the South.

“I am certain that within the next few days, it will be resolved and we will know the appropriate decision,” Mr Kwankwaso said.

Mr Obi and Mr Kwankwaso had earlier announced their defection to the NDC, citing internal crisis and court cases involving the African Democratic Congress.

We told Obidients that Kwankwaso will not agree to deputise Obi for the exact reason that Obi refused to deputise Atiku. Kwankwaso will only agree to serve as Vice to Jonathan. For now, he will contest the primaries with Obi and if Obi wins, Kwankwaso will nominate someone like Gawuna to deputise him. Obi have been seen severally wearing the shirts and promoting the OK movement. Have Kwankwaso done the same?

Same way ADC supporters are wondering why Obi initially decamped to ADC. He did not decamp with Obi. It"s a political party and Obi is not the owner of the NDC. Even in the public event of presentation of their membership cards, he tactfully insisted to be given the card and caps first. Obidients continue to market OK online but what Kwakwanso's supporters are promoting in Kano is KO.

Interesting, so this Kwankwaso guy seems to still have an eye on the Presidential ticket of NDC.

His body language at that NDC welcoming was off as he barely cracked a smile.

Didn't they say President Tinubu offered him VP, makes sense that he isn't exactly settling in for a Peter Obí VP candidacy yet.

Obi's political relevance in the past 3 years has drastically reduced courtesy of the mindless behaviours of the obidient movement.
