I doubt it's a case of discipline. Most likely that of insult.
It's better to take insult from an outsider than to from your own child. Most of the people talking here on her side cannot insult their parents, except those who were never brought up with respect.

It is your own opinion, remember if she is not doing what is bad her father will never beat her, just ask which offence did she commited, before blaming the father, mind you there are some offence that are better imaging than being commited and can give the parent BP.

The man is going to no jail. Is their a law in naija that set a standard for disciplining one's child? If no,forget it. You're saying this because it's a female child,what if it's the son. Meanwhile,It's a family issue,let them settle it

Why is this on social media in the first place? The lady is not a wife, she is a daughter under her father's roof subject to her father's rules.

I do not support the battering please, but this is a father and daughter thing and far as I remember, every father has the right to discipline their child. As old as I am, if I mess around with my mom, she still slaps the silliness out of me. And I dare not say or do anything. After God, she is the next God I have.

1. "It depends on the gravity of her offence." Meaning you don't even know what lead to that panel beating. You also assume there is any level of gravity, without knowing if she even did anything.
