The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has zoned its presidential ticket to Southern Nigeria for a single 4-year term.

The motion was moved at the National Convention of the NDC by the member representing Ogbaru Constituency of Anambra State in the 10th National Assembly, Afam Victor Ogene and was adopted by the delegates.

It was also resolved that after the four years single term, the Presidential ticket will be automatically zoned to the north.

This decision has cleared the way for the former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi and other Southern aspirants to process and purchase the presidential form of the party.

People are saying that Obi is running from ADC because Atiku Likely going to get the ticket. Obi is a Very principled man, he doesn't believe in using money to bought his way out. What play out in last presidential election will most likely happen again. All things being equal.

Because the major forces like Atiku, Kwankwaso, Obi and co are not having common front due to their individual desperate ambition, they can not remove Tinubu.

Even their common front will hardly win against Tinubu, how much when they all scatter to divide their votes.

There is no zoning in the APC constitution, that's why Yahaya Bello from the North Central, Amaechi from the South South, Onu from the South East contested the primaries against Tinubu during the 2022 APC Presidential primaries.

That is kwakwanso's intention to use obi to build the party for him to come out as the candidate in 2031
