This is very unfortunate.Dying while keeping fit.Exercise is the single most powerful intervention available for a good health and longevity.He might have been suffering from some underlying health issues and the fall just happened at the gym.I hope folks don't renege going to keep fit.People die in their sleep,in vehicles, in a church,mosque etc.Be consistent in your trainings no matter what.There is still blessing in motion.

Hmmmmm. It's probably due to excessive exercise.
I had a near death experience after a gym session around 2018.

It was a sit up kind of exercise. Most of my colleagues said they couldn't do it more than 10 times, but I did it about 25 times. Immediately after, I felt some pain in my abdomen and rushed to the gym rest room, I was there for over 20 minutes weak and restless. When I gathered a little strength, I manage to step out of the gym to go home. After walking for about 3 minutes, I couldn't take another step, I had to sit down for about 15 minutes again. I later manage to enter the vehicle, thinking of getting someone to assist me done because I couldn't even maintain my posture. But I thank God I finally survived it. Honestly, that was my last gym experience. Please never go beyond your capacity.

oga no be by food o, even though u eat ten plates of fufu with goat meat, cardiac arrest can still occur at any time. You just need to listen to ur body and don't ignore any little signs, always go for routine check up.

The most standard gyms don't even have a defibrillator or a trained personnel to perform CPR in an emergency. The guy could have been saved

Oh no! Not good at all. He probably over did it with one of those cable machines before this happened.

In my opinion, I feel all these cable machines that pull weights are just not it. Would rather use my own body’s weight to exercise e.g. doing pull ups, dips, push ups etc. Moderation is also key!

There is a pidgin adage that says if e no good for your health quit but most people think that the adage is for only people that do drugs.
I had to quit running and playing football during my university days because I noticed that whenever I indulge in those sports my heart beats increases to the extent breathing becomes a problem.I will feel like dying.
Told my elder sister that was then a Nurse in Nigeria,She told me bluntly that I should quit as it's not good for my health.That was I stopped any activity that makes me that way.

On the contrary.
Probably knows he has heart issues but is self administering solutions of which 'keeping fit' he thinks is 'his' solution.

There are folks out there that know (some don't) they have heart related issues but refuse to go for check ups, deep dives into their systems to know the exact state of things but make assumptions that 'exercise' is the silver bullet to heart health whereas he may be born with a defect or his DNA leads him down that path or his organ is so badly damaged and needs repair or replacement before exertion.

Adults should make a duty of finding out in good time about their bodies in a nutshell. What is not working well and from their family history, what part is likely going to need attention.

Exactly. We are different in nature and nurture. That is why man doesn't live the same exact number of years on earth. Some are born with longevity in the DNA while others have to be delicately managed to live even half that lifespan.

And while there are general rules for elongating your life, there is no one case fits all. You have to know your body, know your history as soon as you come of age and tailor your life accordingly. Anything you assume is a loophole.
