My 2 bedroom house that I struggled to build with my sweat for over 6 years.

My 3 plots of farming land

My Wife’s farm and our backyard chickens

Some of Our furniture and clothes that we could not pack because of fear of carrying too much load

Everything gone.

Life has been tough since we moved from our village to town.

I am earning 230,000 monthly but I cannot save because of food expenses

My children that got tired of eating chicken and eggs in the village…now when my wife adds boiled egg to their food they are always very happy.

A crate of Egg here is ₦5,100
30 pieces of Egg for 7children and 2 adults
It doesn’t last up to a week. I cannot afford to buy it every week.

This was our backyard in the village. Egg used to get rotten in our kitchen because we were tired of eating.

I used to go fishing with my friends. My wife would smoke the fish and it would last for months.

To buy dry fish in this Town is luxury.

See the big fish I caught far back in 2016. My village River is really blessed

Once the Bandits are defeated by the special grace of God, I will move back to the village with my Family.

Special shoutout to my wife who has been supporting me through this struggle. She has been so strong, caring and hardworking.

She started fried Groundnut business and has been supporting the family generously. She would cook and serve us without me bringing 1kobo and she doesn’t complain because she understands.

As at 10 years ago,if you were told life would happen to you to the extent of losing all most everything you suffered to acquire within a blink of an eye,I believe you'd have tagged that person an enemy of progress.

You see a man doesn't really want much - just an angel that knows how the time is and can adjust to the realities.

Also, if you guys have spare space in your house now, you can still start rearing birds for meat and egg too - maybe plant a few things like pepper and stuff, those little things add up.

The most annoying thing is that govt are acting as if nothing is happening in this nation.

This is just one story among millions of people displaced from the NorthEast, NorthWest, NorthCentral, East, West, and Southern Nigeria. There is no region where people have not run away from their native villages and towns due to terrorism.

This young man was building a normal life:
Food from his farm.
Meat from his poultry.
Fish from local rivers.
A house built from sweat.

Yet, NIGERIA TOOK IT ALL FROM HIM.


Imagine the millions of people with similar stories and those whose conditions are even worse than his.

But those evil devils sit down in Abuja and laugh away the insecurity, calling it a "plan to embarass the President."
While Nigerians suffer, die, and cry in their fatherland, their resources are taken away and shared among a greedy few.

You are earning 230k and your wife is frying groundnut. I laugh.

Even in lekki lagos, some people earn small like yours and are living fine.

Since food items seem to be expensive where you live in town, give your wife one full month of your salary to start mama put. Since the whole family will be eating from it. Then whatever she sell, you take your daily transport to work from her and watch her grow into restaurant and bar.

Always learn to think outside the box.
