You Made 3rd Class In University And Then You're Saying It Is Only You That Can Be President-Okonkwo ADC chieftain Kenneth Okonkwo has accused Mr. Peter Obi of projecting the impression that he is the only Igbo person capable of becoming Nigeria's president from the tribe. Speaking on Channels TV, Okonkwo said. "You want to project the idea that it is only you who can be president? Who are you? Is that not an insult to more than 20 million Igbo people? You made 3rd Class in the University and then you're saying it is only you that can be president," he said. Okonkwo revealed that despite his personal reservations about Obi's style, he consistently defended him within the ADC's National Working Committee. He revealed how he raised no objection when Obi requested that his preferred candidate handle the role of National Organising Secretary to oversee the primary, and raised no alarm when Obi's aide was placed in charge of the party's online membership registration, all in a bid to make Obi feel secure. "So even when you organise your own primary, you are still afraid? Come on," Okonkwo said. He called on Obi to step aside, arguing that the Igbo nation is not short of capable leaders. Dear Kenneth, life is not by academic qualification because if life was like that, people like me ought to be not just President of Nigeria but President of United States the most powerful nation on earth. In fact, life taught me a lot of lessons; most of my classmates and even higher institution course mates who were struggling to pass are now top industry owners, executives in different firms, some already doing well as elected political office holders, and if not for God, maybe I that was the brightest back then would have been begging to feed. No wonder the Bible said the race is not for the swift nor for the wisest nor for the strongest but of God that showeth mercy to whom He wants to show mercy of course. So dear Kenneth, as at today in Nigeria, the best and most visible Nigerian that can lead Nigeria as President and make a positive impact every Nigerian will feel is Mr Peter Obi.
