The Youth Freindly and the Incoming Governor of Lagos State @GRVlagos has picked up his Governorship nomination form at the ADC National Headquarters in Abuja Today.

Re: Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Picks ADC Lagos Governorship Nomination Form by naptu2(op): 4:44pm On May 10
Obidients have been asking Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour to defect to the NDC. They say that they supported him in 2023 and he is one of them, so he should quickly defect before it's too late. This was his response.

NEFERTITI @firstladyship

An OPEN LETTER to GRV,

Abdul-Azeez Olajide, popularly called “Jandor” rode with Atiku & the PDP. We all know how that played out. Jandor is still struggling today.

He could end up as the Jimi Agbaje of Lagos.

That said, I expected a more savvy political move from you. You aren’t a rookie politician anymore. While you dilly-dally, others take vantage positions. A New Wave is on the rise.

You of all people should know that Nigeria is not an ideal place. That place is not politically mature for that kind of “honorable” chess move you just played; at least not yet!

There is a thin line between idealism & realism, & it’s a delicate balance. You run the risk of misinterpretation. Interpretation gets lost when one becomes too idealistic. It’s like walking on eggshells; one must tread carefully. So I hope you aren’t misreading the situation?

If Peter Obi could change parties as Bola Tinubu did, your case shouldn’t be different. You should be the one lapping up Obi, he alone can give wind to your sails. Being a politician is knowing when to stay & when to jump ship.

The ADC has no capacity to engineer any type of massive tectonic shift that could dislodge the deeply entrenched GAC in Lagos state.

GRV, you are not just anybody. You are one of us. So I expected Funso Doherty’s move from you, WE ALL DID! My reason is simple. Your campaign was a gastric extravaganza, & I was deeply attached. It was something quite unexpected, something fresh. It was “New Feeling,” it filtered in & reinvigorated our hopes.

I won’t forget “Eko e dide” & “Omo Eko Pataki” in a hurry. Those were slogans that heralded your homecoming debut. We were debutantes, 2023 was when Nigerians witnessed our first dance. I’m so emotional right now! My tears are running wild. “GRV, O GRV!” Yours was a campaign so close to all our hearts.

You aren’t just a candidate; you’re our brother. You & Obidients are family, & everyone knows that family is a touchy issue. So I hope it’s not too late for you to come home & ride the tide.

By me penning this letter, it means that you are one of us. As far as Nigeria goes, there is no room for political correctness. That place is not at UK/US/CA/AU level yet. Nigeria is still in its Prehistoric Age. You are yet to greet the Age of Civilization. Your own Industrial Revolution is still years away. Therefore, we should learn.

This is not me preaching any kind of “conformity,” HELL NO! As disruptors & changemakers, the Obidients are against that!

Our ethos are strength & honor. But the present situation is peculiar, & one must think out of the box. Time is of the essence, the clock is ticking.

“Life is in constant flux; accepting this leads to peace. You cannot control external events, only your reaction to them.” Marcus Aurelius told me these. Nigeria is so unforgiving right now. Only the strong & the savvy survive. Present-day Nigeria is Carthage, a Gladiator’s Arena.

You have to be born mad to survive it. There is no room for political correctness in such a brutal climate. Should Doherty get the NDC’s gubernatorial ticket for Lagos State, Obidients will vote for him. That’s the much I know!

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour @GRVLagos

@firstladyship , Thank you so much for the love, the support not just for me, for the movement, for H.E Peter Obi,but also for Nigeria.

Please believe that I will never ever take the support of the Obidients for granted. The energy, the drive and the support you gave me in 2023, I will forever continue to be grateful for.

I understand how you feel and how you see things in this moment.
I only ask you for a bit of time, There is so much I wish I could explain, If everyone can see what a leader sees , that is no leader at all.
I remember how PDP supporters on this App ridiculed and laughed me to scorn when I left to LP in 2022, I remember how that story ended.

I only ask that you hold on till the end of the month. I promise you at the end of 2027 we will be closer than we were in 2023.

Thank you and I thank all Obidients who have reached out. who took 5hrs of their time to listen and engage with me on spaces yesterday . Thank you.

Re: Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Picks ADC Lagos Governorship Nomination Form by naptu2(op): 4:44pm On May 10
The Dayo Ekong factor

Olukayode Salako was the Lagos State chairman of the Labour Party. However, when Obidients joined the party, they declared that they did not trust him because his wife was Foluke Daramola-Salako, an actress that was a member of the APC and supporter of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. They declared that Olukayode Salako was a mole for Tinubu and they demanded that he must be removed.

Olukayode Salako was removed and replaced with Pastor (Mrs) Dayo Ekong one month before the 2023 elections.

The Labour Party faced many problems during the 2023 elections. Some of its candidates were not on the ballot due to administrative issues.

A war broke out between Obidients and Pastor Dayo Ekong after the elections. The coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Dr Yunusa Tanko, said that the movement was bigger than the Labour Party, but Mrs Ekong replied that the Labour Party was bigger than the Obidient Movement and that most of the problems that the party faced were caused by the movement.

Pastor Ekong supported Julius Abure when Abure fell out with the Obidient Movement.

Pastor Ekong eventually defected to the NDC and became the deputy chairman (south-west) of the party.

However, the Obidient Movement later defected to the NDC and Obidients are now saying that Dayo Ekong must be removed from her position. They say that Pastor Ekong is the reason why Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour does not want to move to the NDC (they say that Rhodes-Vivour blames Pastor Ekong for the 2023 election loss).

Re: Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Picks ADC Lagos Governorship Nomination Form by HacheNoire:
Gbadebo should not just pick up ticket but fire on all cylinders!

His publicity, criticisms and attacks have been nothing to write about.

The current administration has failed in so many aspects and Lagosians just wants to hear from him!

He needs to take to reputable platforms to air his plans with facts and figures.

Remind Lagosians where we were 4 decades ago and where we are today. Healthcare, education and security retrogressing.

Let them know how hooligans and touts became first class citizens of the state while hardworking Lagosians have now been subjected to second class.

Remind them how a state with debts in trillions, massive IGR and FG allocation, but still cannot boast of clean pipe borne water in 2026.

Criticize the white elephant projects littering the state. How they build goat pens and call it schools and still celebrate it like they replicated Harvard.

Tell Lagosians you will declare touts, hooligans and NURTW as terrorists on first day of office. Tell them
You will ban market associations extorting traders!

Tell them land grabbing will have fast tracked dedicated courts to prosecute offenders!

Damn! I wish he could employ His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) media network.

They will ruin current and prospective candidate in 3 months.

Mr Doherty of NDC will finish first or second! I'd have commented first but I know what Oluomo boys are capable of.

Na wah o.
Who is NDC's candidate in Lagos? Doherty?

This will change the dynamics of the campaign.. interesting days ahead.

It could be that GRV is seeing something some others are not seeing.

NDC is registered ONLY by court orders and not because it met all the requirements. Another court order could also deregister it.
Re: Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Picks ADC Lagos Governorship Nomination Form by obonujoker(m): 5:09pm On May 10
Lol...

This guy wants to follow after Atiku customer dada role.

I thought he would have joined NDC..

Well Funsho Doherty is a lot more preferable as APC cannot use Tribalism on him, unlike GRV
Re: Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Picks ADC Lagos Governorship Nomination Form by Counterigbolies: 5:11pm On May 10
It's obvious obi didn't treat all these guys well, even though I am a batist but I took enough time to listen to chinedu on that twitter space. He made some point that many obidient didn't agree with cos of their emotions

Chinedu mentioned that the leadership structure of obi is empty that most times they are stranded and when they need advice from obi he won't b there and that's y many of his key supporters make irreasonable blunders many times.

He also alleged that it was online that he learnt obi have moved to ADC

He also talked about how much he have invested in adc with many people and he doesn't know obi next move so it pays to stay there and make things happen.

The guy made many reasonable points but last last obidient insulted d hell out of him

Nobody asked him to defect..to NDC. Calm down with your LIES and propaganda.

ADC and NDC is a synergy to root out the cancer in Lagos State that sponsors propaganda merchants like you that peddle falsehood everywhere.

Re: Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Picks ADC Lagos Governorship Nomination Form by Eriokanmi:
I'm so glad you didn't go to NDC cos our people are still embittered with those disparaging comments you made about our elders. The Internet never forgets. As an obedient that I am, I voted Sanwo instead, after delivery alimosho for Obi.

We will support uncle Doherty come next year in NDC. We're tired of giving outsiders support to rule us. Our prayer was that, the APC should not endorse ambode cos he'd have given uncle doherty the race of his life as everybody loves him. With Babafemi Hamzat in the race, hoping they'd not change him oo, Doherty kan, Eko kan ni and it will be an easy win for him. We too can govetn our state.

Aha! This is one of the entertainers that always posts funny things. He is everybody, so he knows that nobody asked GRV to defect. Isn't that funny and amazing?

He has eyes, yet he can't even see Nefertiti's letter up there, isn't that funny and amazing?

Anyway, he'll soon go back to where he belongs.

They will understand later
