Gotocourt:But is it Presco plc that will elect government into power, is it not the people. People that government should be serving. Our kind of democracy is just not working. The government constantly sees itself as an antagonist of the people. They see the people as fodder for exploitation. Too small and too inconsequential to consider, if not what is wrong in striking deals with them. Is governance no longer about the people. Is there no formula where both the citizens, big business and the government all win or is it always a zero sum game. Look to the United States and how they manage land use, resources and governance and copy a working model, simple. |

TheHeat:That's my local government and it's sad how politicians have taken the estate meant for the Boki people's development and given to Presco. The court should give fair hearing else there will be terrible issues in the future as Presco might find businesses difficult |

Ben Ayade's administration played out the same ignominious perfidy with the Ibiaye palm plantation, leasing it out to a private company under some shady PPP arrangement where he and his brother even held significant stakes in the contracting company. That case is still sitting cold at the high court level because the nigerian judiciary has decided to be in cahoots with thieving politicians. |
