Good day, this isn't a rash rather it's more of a skin reaction. You need to get MUPIDERM OINTMENT, it's quite pricey(between 5k to 7k)but very effective. What you need to do afterwards is make sure he takes his bath with warm water and then apply on the surface of the affected area morning and evenings. It would disappear in about 5days. Thank me later! |

Jmichael1:I'm not a Doctor If it's on both arms around the exact location on both arms it is most likely not an infection but a skin related problem likely due to lack of moisture under the skin. The reason why some " infections " look identical on opposite sides of the body has to do with lack of nutrients from being blocked in path ways. I am not a Doctor. One thing that works is believe it or not hair shampoo. Hair shampoo like Selsun Shampoo has microbacteria and moisturizers plus antiseptic so that microbes do not exploit skin dryness. I am not a Doctor I once had a skin problem that no drug could cure till I found an article about Selsun Shampoo I applied the shampoo for a week and the results were very dramatic. If you apply the shampoo don't wash it off let it kill whatever microbes are there. I still have the bottle of Selsun Shampoo I used and I will give you the the Exact name soon. I am not a Doctor Once again I am not a Doctor. You may need to see a doctor. |

ezugegere:Guess you didn't read through the comments. It was a fungal infection . I suggested he use a genuine anti fungal cream ...or refer to the elderly locals for herbal treatment. He did find an anti fungal ointment...i and the condition taken care of. You correctly identified the cause ...but thanks for sharing the local solution. Is it bitter leaf?....you skipped a vital word! After all..... we're here to share and learn! |

Jmichael1:What I would say is then get a White plastic bottle of Selsun Shampoo and rub the cream on the affected area. Do not wash it off but let it enter the skin. Do it for one week and see if there is any difference. Sorry but I cannot find the particular bottle I used it was a white plastic Selsun Shampoo bottle..... I have the exact bottle I used somewhere in my house and will look more for it to show you what I used. The fact that it is on the two hands at the same location means it's more of a skin problem than an infection. Once again I am Not a Doctor. I Am Not A Doctor o. |

Jmichael1:This is From The Internet Selsun Shampoo (and Selsun Blue, which contain selenium sulfide) can fight specific body infections, primarily those caused by fungi or yeast. It is effective as a topical treatment for skin infections like tinea versicolor (a fungal infection causing discolored patches) and some forms of fungal acne, such as Pityrosporum folliculitis. How to Use Selsun for Body Infections Application: Apply the shampoo to the affected areas of the body, lather, and leave it on for about 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Frequency: For tinea versicolor, it is often recommended to use it daily for about 7 days, or as directed by a doctor. Precautions: Avoid using on broken, inflamed, or sensitive skin, and keep it away from the face and genitals.Key LimitationsFungal Only: It is an antifungal agent and will not treat infections caused by bacteria or viruses. External Use: It is for external use only and should not be ingested. Side Effects: It may cause skin irritation or dry skin in some users. If symptoms persist or if you have severe skin irritation, consult a dermatologist. |

Jmichael1:Yes you can but it would be cheaper if you bought it from a regular super Market. It is simply the world's best shampoo so they sell it in supper markets. I sent you another post so you can read what Selsun said and what others said about Selsun. It's a bit expensive though. Should it not work you can use it as a shampoo to wash your hair and rinse out the shampoo with water. When I used it for my skin problem I used a small quantity and did not wash it out the reason for not washing it on the skin is so that it will kill whatever the organism was. Once Again I am Not A Doctor. |

Important Regulatory Notice: As of July 2024, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has discontinued the registration and sale of oral ketoconazole tablets in Nigeria. This decision follows global safety concerns regarding the high risk of hepatotoxicity (severe liver damage) and adrenal insufficiency associated with oral use. Try and get any of this instead Fluconazole (e.g., Diflucan) Itraconazole Terbinafine blackpanthar: |
