Lagos state aside (majorly due to lack of space), why don't Nigerians rear their own animals for meat?

In India, even poor families have one or two cows for milk, yoghurt and ghee.
As those are essential part of their cuisine.

Not only they do not it again but the fact is during those time I could remember 3 weeks to 1 months to Salah everywhere is full Salah rams I mean within the neighborhood. But sadly now nothing of sort and is always on the eve of Salah few people go buy ram.

I cherish those good old days. But alhamdulillah we hope things become easier for us all to celebrate it with sound and good health and blessings to buy the ram ASAP.

Yeah my Dad used to buy our sacrificial animal a month before the Eid in the early 80s and if you have any functioning brain cells upstairs, you should know the trajectory of prices of stuff generally and not only Rams and cow through period till the year 2026.

And guess what, he could only afford one ram and a goat when the prices was like #100 naira for a medium size ram and #50-#60 for a medium size goat but today when the prices are almost running to several thousands and almost close to seven figures, rams and Cows are still being sacrificed in thousands 😆

So, take your nit too functioning brain cells elsewhere this Wednesday morning..
