I am working for a Nigeria-based organization on a job opening for experienced Marketing professionals or consultants. I am out of depth with the Nigerian job landscape. Where would you recommend I post this vacancy to find the right talent I need to fill this role?

The role requires someone with extensive experience as a Marketing Operations Consultant.

Let me assume u are not recruiting for the seemingly large pool of employers that set unrealistic requirements, ranging from decades of experience to " being able to work under pressure"

The moniepoint CEO saga has made most people understand that majority of Nigerian employers are greedy and egoistic lots,that feel nigerian youths should be able to unplug the tooth of a lion for them, while offering peanuts/ crumbs to them in return

Smart people don't find job, they create job. I can imagine an able bodied man looking for primary school teaching job of 50k per month! Even person wey dey follow mason go site sef dey make more than that a month.

Simple:

In the place where others consider tough.
Eg.

1. Military
2. Fishing or Marine (water ways) entirely
3. Intellectual property (schooling inclusive)
4. Etc

Just look out for odd things that seem difficult, “dirty” (as in physical dirt), challenging, tough, risky, etc.

We are too intoxicated by sweet looking media brainwashed words like:
1. Skills
2. Business (entrepreneurship)
3. Social influencers
4. Etc
Generally those sweet looking, beard gang, Barbie girl, social media uploadable, activities are what we are fixated on. That is what have been used to blind us from the real jobs.

Find job or get the right skills... I've recommended jobs between 300k to 700k with those who have skills in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering in the MEP spaces

The question is, do you have the right skillset... Everyone wants paper called certificate and behind those certificates is someone without skillsets to amplify the certificate he or she is holding

In the first instance, are you an HR Professional or a Recruiter?

If you're not, then the right place for you is LinkedIn.
As a recruiter, having a LinkedIn account is of paramount importance. And having a pool of CVs will also make your time-to-hire shorter.

Aside LinkedIn, you can post free jobs ads on and other job hosting websites.

In the same vein, there are several HR recruiters with whatsapp groups and telegram channels where jobs are posted daily.
