Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, has expressed confidence that voters will elect him governor in the forthcoming election.

He spoke on Sunday in Osogbo at a meeting with leaders and members of the Association of Mobile Telecommunication Engineers of Nigeria (AMTEN). Oyebamiji was represented at the event by Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, chairman of the civic engagement committee of the APC campaign council.

He expressed optimism that voters would turn out en masse and back him at the polls, declaring that history would be made on August 15 when he is elected governor and that Osun would return to "the progressive path."

The governorship candidate described governance as a "serious business" and said his administration would prioritise policies improving the welfare of the people, focusing on economic security, healthcare, education, and social protection — including expanding social safety nets to combat poverty. He also pledged to create opportunities for economic growth, support small-scale enterprises, and expand large-scale businesses through funding, capacity building, and infrastructure development.

On mobile telecommunications, Oyebamiji assured AMTEN members of his administration's support, noting the sector's critical role in business development.

He said his policy agenda, code-named "PROSPER," would be fully implemented to improve living standards for residents, and urged the group to disregard campaigns against him, saying his commitment to service is rooted in the upliftment of humanity.

Abdulrasaki Ejalonibu, Osun state president of AMTEN, pledged the votes and support of his members to Oyebamiji.
