And it starts on the eve of your second term re-election campaign. And deliverable in 2027. Like the 180 days water bait on the eve of the first term election. C'mon man, we are not stupid. |

I do not think this is a good idea for 2026 o. The stats doesn't make no sense to me. The heat rate and thermal efficiency of coal, compared to, say, gas, is way lower. Also, coal podcurs more particulate matter and more CO2 emissions per Kwh of power produced. Advantages of coal is that it has low operational cost, and readily available in the state. They should consider the pros and cons. |

Twist4u:na only otti they want to hype because this one doesn’t have time paying media influencers to polish proposals as executed projects the way the brandish one airport in Taiwan as abia state international airport …I remember they were shouting abia state is generating electricity within 2weeks of otti inauguration as if he had already installed the generator before he was sworn in as governor, they started shouting otti is working, sowore went there 3years later and the rest was story |

Gjrich:Remains to be seen if this will ever come to fruition, although Gov Mbah seems to have a good track record with project delivery. But then again it report says it will take 24 months, which should mean 2028, yet also says it will be ready for commissioning in 2027! So clearly, they don't even know what they are doing. But if it does become a reality, 660MW will certainly be by far more than enough for Enugu State. Currently the entire Enugu DISCO, which covers Enugu, Anambra, Ebonyi, Imo and Abia states, gets just about 300MW. |

paranorman:Coal power is the cheapest electricity you can get because coal itself is very cheap and abundant in comparison with other fuels. It also creates a lot of jobs. Coal ash is valuable in cement making. Gas is also great as long as you can get uninterrupted local supply. Don’t let climate propagandists deceive you. There is nothing wrong with burning coal. The Europeans burnt an unbelievable amount of coal that got them to this level of development. Nigeria should do the same. |

Well, he has a track record of delivering. I wish him well. If he pulls this off, this will be the most ambitious undertaking by the state since its Inception. With an abundant supply of coal, and a governor with the will, financing should not be that difficult to pull in especially considering that the project would generate massive cashflow when completed. |
