The newly elected President of the Adekunle Ajasin University Students’ Union, Folagbade Greatness Ayoola, popularly known as “Greatness of AAUASU,” has appointed about 40 aides and special advisers shortly after assuming office.

According to a memo released by the union leadership, the appointments were made to ensure effective administration and smooth coordination of the students’ union government.

The appointments covered several positions including Chief of Staff, personal assistants, directors and special advisers across different sectors.

Some of the portfolios created include media and publicity, health services, ICT, security affairs, academic matters, transportation, sports, budgeting and social media engagements.

The development has already started generating reactions among students and social media users online.

This is what I keep telling people, Nigerians are far worse than their leaders but we are all fixated on our leaders.

What people at d low level do is worse than what leaders self do

Imagine last week I was traveling to ado ekiti from Ibadan with 3 of my guys, one of us was pressed and we branched at a filling station so he can ease himself, could u believe that the attendant asked for 1k before he could give my guy d key to d toilet.....I just weak n I imagine that he himself will blame tinubu for his problems too.

We just like to react with emotions on everything. These positions are most likely not paid and structures like this is often used to give more representation as long as they are not paid.

For a sug president in an institution like AAUA 40 aides are not too much for effective administration but it depends on how much that is costing the SUG to operate that number if the cost is not more than 20% of the total revenue accruing to the SUG yoy.

Overall it is better to appoint these many students and share responsibility and resources with them rather than buy a 2027 Bentley as offical car and living large with a few friends....we should choose one grin
