If you understand what it means that your GDP is $30 trillion when your population is just a little over 300 million, you don't know how privileged you are.

Some do, many don't.

The issue is America has a strong currency. That is a blessing, but it is also a curse in that cost of living in the US can be very expensive, so they move to a country where their dollars can stretch more and more better.

One American guy moved to the Phillipines...and he was able to build a house with money that won't have done the same for him in the USA.

Even some Nigerians who have worked in America for their lives, come back here to retire, build house and live a lifestyle that is rich...on their American pensions that in the US would be a struggle to be on.

Could these be the side effects of Capitalism? I'm pro capitalist though.

KInd of, it's side effect of a strong currency..

It;s even happening in Argentina now. Argentina has a stronger currency thanks to Millei's reforms...good...but it means that costs and prices of things are now high ...so many Argentines are going to chille to buy stuff at cheaper prices that they cannot buy in Argentina ..bcause chille has a weaker currency.

Doesn't mean we should abandon capitalism. Capitalism is bad, but all the alternatives so far are worse. And as for socialism and communism...most socialst countries end up borrowing from the capitalist countries.

It is by far better than Enugu.

500 gallons of water go for N20k. Multiply by 4 in a month, that's N80k. By extrapolation, that's N960k in a year on water alone. Why? Because the governor believes that clean and accessible water is the least of his worries. Yet they prance around like Enugu is Abuja even though the red muddy soil will have residents looking like they went tomb-raiding at night.

But then, considering where it was before Peter Mba, one can understand the accolades being that he moved the town from 16th Century to 17th Century but not anywhere near 20th Century. 21st Century is a stretch. EEDC? The worst of all.

The Permanent Secretary, Office of Drainage Services and Water Resources in Lagos State, Mahmood Adegbite, has said that people drilling borehole in the Lekki axis of the state is probably drinking ‘’shit water.”

In reality, the US is a county where less than 1% of the population ownes more than 50% of the wealth, while others struggle daily and live paycheck to paycheck. Majority of American workers will go broke if they just miss one or two day's paychecks, that's why they work themselves to death while the Billionaires like Musk and Bezos and the rest pay them peanuts. The richest blessed country on Earth, yet more than 5 million of their citizens are homeless and more than 150 people commit suicide every single day!!!

A little secret, people migrate, not just Nigerians, and not because their country is bad or awful.

A lot of Americans migrate to thailand and mexico. Not because both countries are strong, or better, but because the relative strength of the dollar means they can live like kings there.

PGA rest with your lies. As at today, there are 25 million millionaires in America. That doesn't look like 1% to me.

America is still the fastest and easiest to become a millionaire in the world irrespective of your background. It remains the best place in the world for an immigrant for economic opportunities.

Instead of u looking at negatives, look at millions whose lives were turned around by America and make them your role models.

The truth is era of travelling out just for the sake of it is gone. Unless u attain solid middle class in any nation u live, there's no way u can escape economic struggle or paycheck to paycheck lifestyle. That's 2026 for u.

These are Americans who prefer good quality of life than political parties at any cost.

Even the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Gainsburg threatened to move to Canada if Trump was elected in his first term.

As for Nigerians, they only care about the political leadership of any party as long as that leader is from their ethnic group. Knowing full well, it has never benefited their generation.
