🇷🇺 Russia handed over the bodies of 528 fallen soldiers to 🇺🇦 Ukraine, Ukraine’s Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War announced Saturday.

According to the authorities, the bodies, which belongs to Ukrainian servicemen, were returned as part of repatriation measures.

Law enforcement investigators and forensic experts will work to identify the deceased, according to a statement posted on US social media company Facebook.

Earlier Friday, state news agency Tass reported, citing sources, that Russia and Ukraine exchanged the bodies of fallen soldiers, with Russia handing over 526 and receiving 41 bodies.

However, Russia has not yet made any official statement regarding the exchange.

In April, Russia said it handed over 1,000 bodies of fallen soldiers to Ukraine, while the Ukrainian side handed over 41 bodies. Ukraine confirmed it had received 1,000 bodies but did not specify how many bodies were transferred to Russia.

On Feb. 2, 2026, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that since June 2025, more than 12,000 remains had been handed over to Ukraine, while Russia had received more than 200 bodies of its servicemen.

The ministry also said that 17 rounds of prisoner-of-war and detainee exchanges between Russia and Ukraine, organized with mediation by the UAE in 2024 and 2025, had resulted in the release of more than 4,000 people.

The Coordination Headquarters expressed sincere gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for its assistance and support in carrying out repatriation efforts.

“Special thanks go to the personnel of the Central Directorate for Civil-Military Cooperation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which transports the repatriated remains to specialized state institutions,” the Coordination Headquarters emphasized.

this war has been going on for over 4 years now and some news media want me to believe that Ukraine is losing.....

If these number of soldiers are really dying in Ukraine, i believe the Russians would have been in Kiev by now....

Russia even had to significantly scale down their annual military day parade at the red square due to fear of Ukraine striking....

information from US and European channels indicate that Russia have gained less than 2% in land after 4 years of waring.....

90% of the Russian fighters Ukraine kills are not Russians but Africans. Only about 10% of those fighting are actually Russians. That's why there's so much gap in the exchange.

I perceive this outcome or broadcast are often doctored.
Presented to kill the morale or damage the image of the Ukrainian president.
I do not personally believe it.

Though I do not expect Ukraine to win the war but no, these numbers do not appear to be true.

Laughing. There is so much gap because more Ukrainian soldiers are dying than Russian soldiers. Ukraine uses more mercenaries than Russia, I guess you didn't know.

May be you should look at other channels for more credible information other than those who are funding Ukraine.
Most of the dead soldiers on the Ukraine side are foreign mercenaries, old people and those who need rehabilitation, people who are not supposed to be on the battlefield but Ukraine is having less and less options. The talk is going on how the Ukrainian men who ran away can be deported back to Ukraine to fight war.
The numbers and the exchanges are there for all of us to see and observe, I don't understand what you guys are always fighting the numbers or doubting it. Russia be Ukraine mate?
