How na? If Xabi Alonso is available and willing to come to Chelsea, Xabi Alonso comes to Chelsea. I cannot think of a more qualified alternative that is currently available. He ticks all the boxes.

The only reason I personally never commented on Alonso is because I didn't think it was a possibility, since he doesn't fit the business model profile the owners have set. Like I said in previous posts on this topic, the owners would have to change the model to even commence talks with a genuine qualified manager.

Talking to Alonso means, that at the very least, there's consideration to abandon some of the unsustainable bs policies. And this is good news for recruitments policies on all levels.

Better snatch Alonso before Arsenal and Liverpool have a reason to.

Obviously, the imperative has happened. Concessions have been made on both sides. Therefore we can expect a commitment to signing experience, and team selection autonomy.
