Exactly what happened in 1993 general elections the supposedly freest election in Nigeria history. I always look at those TV analysts with bombastic eyes each time I hear them eulogies that election because as a little boy then that was the first election I witnessed and I can tell you for free that it was not without rigging the only difference to my little understanding then was that the stake holders were United in the act.

I watched the one close to me here in Alimosho.
The people that gathered was not even upto 50 inside 2 small canopy but somehow, that place produced over 4000 votes for the winner

It was not just the electoral officials only counting. It was everyone counting together. SDP was counting the numbers on the NRC side and vice versa. We voted for MKO Abiola. His lifestyle was the key to his victory. Everyone believed in him. Everyone trusted him. It was very easy.

Option A4 remains the way, no matter the dirty paint the politicians try to make on it. Infact it helps to control vote buying. For those who receive bribes to vote, once it is time, they run away, as they do not want to be seen on the queue. Return to option A and see the difference. The open-secret ballot is full of wayo.

I was 13 then and followed my Dad to the polling unit. Just as you said was how it was done.
