You don come back with this your scam moniker back right

Justwise look into this please 🥺 🙏
Ghaliz:
There is no package as such, there are a lot of modules, Intensive, Weekends, evenings.

I was intensive that's 3 hours weekdays( Mon-Fri) costs average out about 200K per month. Sometimes you'd get a 5% discount here and there for registering consecutive classes.

Class grouping are according to the Common European Framework from A1-B2.

A1 is split into two for intensive, (A1.1 - A1.2) takes 2 months. It takes more time for people in extensive and weekends

A2 is split into two also takes 2 months.

B1 is split into 3 takes 3 months

B2 is split into 4 takes 4 months.

So the entire A1-B2 takes 11 months about an average of 200K per month thereabouts atelier( Methode de Francais et cahier d'activités) that's textbook and workbook inclusive.

The weekends is like around 2 years for the classes, it's much cheaper than 200K a month I don't know the price.

You'd probably need more resources in addition to your classes, tutors, premium subscriptions to Babel or Duolingo and others, the cost can add up. Tutors can cost up to 20K/hr. The costs add up but people's needs differ. Start anyway and get down to business from day 1. Best of luck.

Let me state very clearly and quite succinctly, this is a scammer. Imagine coming on as a guest on a browser not signed in and you see someone posing as you, it is quite simply surreal . I couldn't see his post on my own profile. Imagine!

Let me state clearly, I have provided an exhaustive list of the resources and methods I used for my exams I simply have no further insight and nothing to add

I simply don't reply personal messages because the email attached to my account is my personal email with identifying details.

Every question I've been asked here I have gone above and beyond. I dissociate myself from that individual, I consider it foolhardy to trust someone you haven't met in person. Any online interaction should be treated with extreme scepticism.

Nairaland is facilitating scams with the block button.

It'd be like for example if I asked you to explain the 40Trn Naira missing at NNPC or something. It does not credit to your education and perhaps even your upbringing if basic reading eludes you before levelling allegations of criminality against me. Thankfully NL is anonymous.

I logged into NL on my work system where my account isn't logged in I read a post apparently impersonating me, this post was invisible to me when I logged into my own account.

I immediately created a new account to quote the post to raise an alarm and immediately reported the post and account. I have multiple personal messages in my account I do not reply them as I've stated repeatedly, this is an anonymous I have no wish to acquaint myself to anyone here.

While I don't blame the victim of scams, the decision of the guy to send money to people on anonymous website is at best ill-advised and very naive.

I answer every question posed to me here and here alone, the failure to permanently ban the account is on the moderators, the rushed block button which happens to be facilitating scam.

I expect an apology for your unearned grandstanding but if basic reading constitutes insurmountable odds for you. I won't be holding my breath

Ghaliz and Ghaliz2 is my account. I opened the Ghaliz2 to quote an account that was impersonating me, a post I couldn't view from my account but could see in guest mode.

I reported the said post and raised alarm here.

Try find schools around you and get french tutors, it's good for beginners to start french physically

Yes there are online classes. They take an a longer time compared to the intensive option.

The A1 classes take about 2.5 months, you study on the online platform and have 3 zoom meetings per week. You'd need a computer with webcam and microphone. It is cheaper than the regular intensive classes by nearly 50%.

For more information contact AF Lagos for class schedules.

Hope the community is doing well. It has been a while. Could not sign on to my old account so I created this one. What a journey it has been. Getting close to 3 years in Canada already. Time files.

From preparing for TEF and Canadian PR to now thinking of Canadian Citizenship.

All the best to the Frenchies preparing.

Ha ha Enculer.... I remember you. I have been in Canada (Ottawa) since 1st July last year (2025)... How are things with you? Which province are you based? I'm considering moving to Quebec (either Montreal or Quebec city).

Go to Alliance Française, attend a few months of classes online or offline during which you'd be taught by several instructors after which you can simply approach the one whose style of teaching you are most comfortable with.

Many of the so-called online French instructors are dummies, I know one that couldn't by herself pass the TCF and she's so popular on IG. You'd need the camaraderie and shared goal of fellow students you meet at Alliance anyway. Goodluck anyway

Hello people, I desperately need someone that we can practice together outside our different classes. Preferably someone in A1.2 level, but A1.1 is also good. Someone we can practice together, compare notes and ideas. Please you must already be taking classes and a very serious minded person. Please indicate and I'll connect with you.

I am having issues getting native speakers on Hello Talk, or probably I dont know how to use the app.
Also, can you share the prep pack you used from the francophone countries?
Ghaliz:
Congratulations! I hope your results turn out great. I tried to comment a few times in French it kept getting flagged by the spam bot.

That being said I think this your rather compact and compressed preparation timeline should carry a parental guidance warning or something; except you are exceptionally brilliant hopefully like the poster or have an unmatched flair for languages 4-6 months is grossly insufficient to learn, master and pass a French proficiency exam. Here's my advice...

You should budget at least a year if you are able to commit to full-time, intensive study or around 2 years if you're unable to. For example if you're starting from the scratch at Alliance Francaise intensive classes that is 3hrs every Mon-Fri (8:30 - 11:30) or (11:45 - 2:45). You will spend 2 months in A1 , 2 months in A2, 3 Months in B1, 4 months in B2. That's already like a year plus another 3 months at least for preparation.

If you're unable to commit to intensive your classes take even longer, you have to know not a lot of people pass this exam overall, less people even pass it on the first attempt. Except you're talented after many months in you're going to feel frustrated like you're not learning anything.

Here's my list of resources:
L'atelier Methode de Francais and Cahier d'activites (A1-B2) this is the text and workbook you get at AF
TV5MONDE
RFI radio should become the background to your life
Le petit prince
Prep my future TCF Canada
Reussir TCF when your exam is near
Hello Talk to practice speaking with a native
You still might require a private tutor. It's easy to get one among Alliance professeur
Backpack in France or Francophone Africa (Senegal and/or Ivory Coast) the other Francophone countries speak corrupt French interspersed with a heavy dose of local dialect.

Disclaimer: I'm not answering DM's please neither do I send DM's. There's a scammer roving . If you do have questions ask openly I will give it my best shot. I have no profound insight or privileged understanding save the one I've shared here. I have no private thoughts to add

HelloTalk isn't for everyone, my informal survey amongst people learning French shows many people don't quite fancy it, your experience is not at all out of the ordinary. I found it quite useful.

You are going to require a VIP subscription and lots of patience, indicate clearly your native language and your learning language. You should also be ready to communicate with people with imperfect English also trying to practice their own English

Use the moments tab to see public posts, post your moments too, indicate you're seeking a language partner preferably a native French speaker. Once you find one or two dependable partners you can practice each other languages using an agreed time split.

As far as tools go, HelloTalk is a quirky way to learn but I found a lady from Guadeloupe on the app, we put in hours upon hours correcting each others "learning language".

I don't know if I quite answered your questions if you have any further questions at all quote me ask, I'm happy to answer openly on this page.
