Even if the idea was to bring Mourinho in to fix the mess and then someone else comes in at a later date, it is still a wrong move. Mourinho that I have known for more than two decades will fix one mess and create several others. Mourinho is what Madrid thinks they need; Klopp or other managers with up-to-date footballing tactics and who have history of staying in jobs for more than three years, is what Madrid actually needs.

Madrid don't know yet what they're up against. If Barca gets Osimhen or Alvarez and maybe Bastoni, Madrid should kiss La Liga title goodbye for at least the next three seasons. You can't have a team that scores for fun in the shape and form of Barca as your main challenger, and then you go and bring in a defensive-minded manager.
