The guy cheated hundred percent. He has never managed a small club and he never will. City bought players like Aguero at outrageous prices for him to thrive. Their squad depth was so vast that 3rd team was better than several others. In fact I respect Brighton coach more than him. Good riddance that football has now moved on from someone bringing in oil or drug money and buying all the top players without actually making any financial returns for the business. Just mercenary style wins. That financial fair play is necessary. He wouldn't have won so many matches without such a star array. Mourinho criticized him with that same poit also, that he cheated. And he's right. elder1002: |

IndexMode:Some of you arguement is laughable, do you know how much Arteta alone has spent since he took over at Arsenal what has he won to show the outrageous budget spent on the club? I pray they win a trophy this time to justify all the money invested on him, Chelsea bought first team and second team what did they win? rather they are a shadow of themselves, Liverpool spent over 500m on players this season what was their achievement with it Its one thing to buy its another thing to manage and get result and that's where a good manager comes like Pep.....If you are good at what you do you will always excel with or without noise |

elder1002:Convert average player to great player means you know football bcs most people don’t know that and they keep arguing that those players were world class players before he got them, why some don’t even know when and where he got them from and start calling them the best forgotten that guardiola made them. About the fergi competition, pep did it when premier league is more competitive and clubs were recruiting more professional coaches and players. Who could believe that fergi only won 2 champions league after so many years with Man U. The different is clear, pep is the real boss |

Lamasta:Many of them don’t know how much fergi ruse to spent on players back then, Man U was the highest spender cus they got the money. Those people don’t know anything about managing a team. Liverpool and Chelsea that spent money last season, where is the result. As u said, is one thing to spend and it is another thing to manage it well which made guardiola the great one. Let’s see how maresca will manage the spending also bcs for me, he can’t archive that much and he will end up getting sacked by the club |

ARISHEM:Guardiola decision not man city and he can not take Madrid job, he can still go back to Bayern but I think he might want to try Italy or the Spain international team. Madrid is a no no for him |

engrchykae:That thing people were saying he can’t do it in England is mostly common with Nigeria people. Now they are not saying anything and saying he spent too much. Abeg, Liverpool and Chelsea and even Arsenal self should show us what they got with all the money spent last season. I think only arteta is using the opportunity well even tho we are still hoping for the EPL and champions league. I believe Arsenal already got the league |

I could remember, when he was Barcelona manager tormenting la Liga and Europe many EPL fan boys said he won't succeed in EPL while actually EPL is stronger watching from outside the la Liga is stronger in the pitch. He came and made EPL look so easy winning 4 in a row conquering every team on his way, with beautiful display of football he integrated from Spain, he's the GOAT. |

ARISHEM:Madrid are in final stages of talks with Mourinho to take over.....and he has coached Barca before so chances of coaching Madrid(or another La Liga team) for him is very low. |
| Re: Guardiola to leave Man City at the end of the season. New Manager named by IndexMode: 2:15pm On May 19 |
Nothing laughable about fact. Over the past 15 years, Manchester City has spent €2.6 billion on top players. It was only in the last 4 years they slowed down. Others started picking up spending that time. But it's still close net spend. Arsenal certainly improved too. Chelsea resell some for net positive. City has been buying players down even before he came. Since the days they raided Arsenal for Clichy, kolo Toure, Sagna, Nasri etc. Arsenal fans were always booing. Trying to shame them that's its all about the money. Adebayor mocked them back. Every club lost a star to them. It's like an all-stars team. When guardiola came he still spent over a billion of his own too. Any average coach will easily replicate those cups with those players. It is whataboutism as an argument that is actually laughable. Mission accomplished. Thats why Enzo Maresca deceived Chelsea knowing he won't be staying for long. Well played plan to Bleep Chelsea up in points knowing he's heading back to Mancity. |

We're talking guardiola 10 years era u are talking of last 5 years. Even when City reduced spending and others just turned up, it's still the same category of spending. Something I even already mentioned. That same site you showed contained the last 15 years. What did city achieve in the first 6 years after Ethihad takeover and they started spending too. Guardiola spent over a billion as soon as he first came. Untop spent funds already & now he's bragging that he achieved. Yet he won only 1 championships league. Even Tottenham reach final. Mancini already turned the tide for city. This guy was never a special coach. No special tactics. Just manages ego of big players well. Lamasta: |

Na u dey cho cho cho I don post am since first reply say city spent 2.6 billion to become the team they are. Pounds not even dollars. $ will be over 3b. You can use Google on your phone. This bournmouth match totally sumarised him. Never a special tactic. Just pile pressure on teams and hope an individual brilliance shine through. All his expensive top players have to be firing. Haland goal drought phase this season really affect him. That last 5 years u dey shout now, other teams don dey challenge better for the cup. Na yeye argument u just dey argue. Dismissing what he inherited as if it's not part of the foundation of his success. He also spent almost 2 billion more. Anyway I'm done here. Lamasta: |

Kalulu44:That is the new market. Did any of the other top club bought a player of 20m too? That’s the question you should ask yourself. Clubs don’t sell to English club for cheap price anymore, most especially man city. Understand the system and stop arguing unnecessarily. I bet you don’t even know most of those players before he bought them and those u even know are bcs they play in the EPL against your team |

Daguccizgreat:If not that u will use Google, I would have asked you to mentioned the team in played against in that final and the best player. But na AI and good Dey help una Gen Z. That aside. How did that answer my question? I am sure u didn’t even know he did not win UCL with those big clubs |

| Re: Guardiola to leave Man City at the end of the season. New Manager named by Kalulu44: 9:42am On May 20 |
ericmor:You can say whatever you like, but a player can be bought for above 50m if he hasn't done great things in the league he's coming from. Yes we may not know him cus most of us are fixated in the EPL only. But for that player to cost that amount means he's a prize asset |
