Nwaikpe:My bro, Tinubu, financially or politically, was not really committed to Ribadu or Atiku becoming President when he gave them his Party platform. Everyone knows that's. When a win is crucial, because things have to be achieved, Tinubu always delivers. 2027 even has a dimension beyond Nigeria alone. The past few years has changed the thinking of global leaders about energy and Nigeria's importance to The global availability of it they need. The West does not want Obi or Atiku in power. Tinubu will get away with nearly anything. Mark it down. I personally even believe many Western nations are becoming more predisposed to helping Nigeria split so they can become choice partner to the oil and gas-rich South minus the terrorised North many now view hopeless and destined to morph with the Sahel nation. iSIS second in command, for example, was living in Northern Nigeria and coordinating terror strategy for the Sahel and sub-saharan Africa from our frigging nation. Additionally, with being viewed favourably by the West as "the guy", Tinubu is also strong at home with many political leaders in office on his side financially, politically and per capacity to mobilise. Good luck to whoever you are supporting. |

DomPerignon:100% correct and the same point I make always that people don't understand. Obidients remind me of the saying by Joseph Goebbels that "A lie told once remains a lie but a lie told a thousand times becomes the truth". This is what those Obidients extremists have used to bamboozle many gullible Nigerians, including the 'woke Yoruba' jokers like Macaroni and Falz etal, into believing the bog-standard and even factually below average Obi is some sort of never-before-seen Messiah. Anyway, my bro, 2027 is going to end a lot of political careers. You're a sharp guy. If you are interested in Nigerian politics, get involved. There will be loads of new opportunities going forward and I am predicting politics, post 2027, will be about inclusion of a younger cadre of Nigerian politicians to move our nation forward. |

Kwakwaso gamble here is very funny and clever. Should he and obi lose out in the 2027 general election and Tinubu wins then obi need to support him for the general election come in 2031 since it's going to be a supposedly northern nigeria turn. Kwakwaso is very clever |

With the current poor power supply, multiple taxes and charges , increasing national debt, high inflation among other issues, certain candidate shouldn’t have hope at all but seem reverse is the case, and that’s why I’m confused about this country |

WizardOfNG:Of course Tinubu is like Tywin Lannister, Obi is like Robb Stark and Atiku like Stannis Baratheon, Kwankwaso should be Renly. Hopefully, Obi doesn't make the mistakes made in the movie. |
| Re: Is The NDC’s Southern Zoning Strategy Enough To Unseat Tinubu? by WhizdomXX(m): 11:29am On May 19 |
SmartPolician:That's why either the opposition needs to coalesce or every opposition mount in their home block to protect their vote and those of other opposition in their area against APC. This way, if NDC knows their candidate for house of rep or senate is not strong in a zone, they can tell him to align with the adc candidate and vice versa. |

[quote author=BriefingAfrica post=139453286]There is a lot of conversation lately about the National Democratic Congress (NDC) officially zoning their presidential slot to the South. While some argue this is a masterstroke to fracture the President’s traditional base, others believe the current political climate in the South is too complex for a simple zoning swap to move the needle. The core question is: Can the NDC actually capitalize on the current economic discontent, or is this move too late in the game? The NDC's choice to zone its presidency to the South may challenge President Tinubu's hold on southern political support. This strategy could significantly influence his re-election prospects. remirez07:This is a great point you make and a reason why the most critical-thinking and pragmatically intelligent Nigerians will rule out Atiku, Kwankwaso and Obi. Atiku and Kwankwaso are typically conservative Northerners. The sort who have led the North and Northerners into the sorry State both are in today. Obi is a weak and cowardly leader who has fled almost every fight he has faced (folks can check facts of this assertion) meaning he cannot tackle the many monsters determined to ensure Nigeria keeps producing billions.in he Naira and privileges for them, their family and affiliates while over 130 million Nigerians are in poverty when it should not be like that. No other Southern President can do what Tinubu has done. We see the brave reforms of Tinubu the world is praising, to include rewarding our central bank as world central bank of the year 2026, when GEj could not even initiate one pivotal reform be it fuel subsidy removal, State Policing or floating of the Naira etal. Tinubu will win a second term and transform Nigeria immensely. Smart young Nigerians should prepare. I am personally encouraging young Nairalanders (18 to 50) to focus on acquisition of specialist knowledge and specialist-skils. Especially crafted around mastery of using AI for for rapid problem resolution. Do a course on solar power, for example, that will show you how to provide energy solutions for homes and businesses from start to finish. I.e assessing required capacity to professional acquisition of hardware required across the value chain. The future of Nigeria has to be secured by private sector innovation and competitiveness plus free market democracy politics (something Atiku and Kwankwaso will never deliver) and SME proliferation. Any Nigerian, if they are ready, can thrive in that environment I believe only Tinubu can deliver because, say what you will about him, but no one can accuse Tinubu of not giving talent, innovation, creativity and hardwork a chance. |

franchasofficia:From your solemn post, we can only but draw the fact that U have accepted President Tinubu’s victory in the 2027 general electio, because as we both are aware of, there is nothing like free & fair elections in Nigeria. And by the way, isn’t it ironic to u, that a candidate that just joined a new political party barely a month ago, & handpicked by the party as their presidential candidate, is complaining about free & fair election? |
