My wife divorced me after I confessed to her that I cheated once in 5 yrs of marriage. I was faithful for the 5 years we were married until she traveled and a friend disturbed me that she wanted to know my place. She came and tempted me until I fell that was it. My wife came but my conscience disturbed me for about a week until she asked me what was wrong and said I can tell her anything. I opened up and that was it.

Though I didn't support cheating, but divorced because of cheating is laughable

lol. Sometimes you weigh the pros and cons before taking a decision. You goofed sha, seriously. A Nigerian woman will not do that mistake. That’s how hard-hearted they are. No conscience at all. Your own is cheating. Their own is even paternity fraud. They can take it to their grave.

It seems your ex-wife already had strong suspicions. She probably already knew of the cheating(maybe through friends or rumors), and was already contemplating ending the relationship, if she could get the final nail in the coffin. And it just so happens you gave her what she wanted.😒

2. You would have eventually realized at some point what she may have been hiding(probably that she no longer trusted or had love with you, given the suspicions she had of you hiding the truth from her). 😒

Telling the truth is always the best decision, even when the outcome is bitter.
