Me and eny bank don't have business again if you don't do online like opay, palmpay etc
Gt bank has improved now if you know how to use/operate their internet banking, every settings is there

Access Bank, very terrible. They removed my money since last year September and claim they don't know how removed it.

On 23rd of December, 2025, my company had just paid salaries and bonus included to my access bank. So I rushed to market to get Christmas stuff for traveling. After buying, I saw a PND on the account, I immediately left everything to the bank. The truth, I wasn't looking my best, because I had no plan to the bank prior. So after filling out the form, I was directed to a room, where marketers are to complete the form and I proceed to the next stage. I was asked to sit down and wait a while, there where 4 marketers in the room. I was left unattended from 11am till 2pm. This form will not take 10mins to fill, when I approach any they keep telling me, they will call me when they are ready, and they keep attending to others except me.

I almost closed the account, because I was humiliated. The next day I went to another branch and in 20 mins I was attended to.

GTbank! Those people were really after my life! It was my brother who convinced me to open an account with them, which I did without hesitation because I was looking for a good, customer-friendly bank at the time. Then came the BVN registration hassle. I went to the bank and did my BVN with them, provided all my details, and registered. No wahala. I thought I was sailing smoothly until two weeks to my NYSC orientation camp. I went to the bank to request an ATM debit card, filled all the forms, and provided all the particulars they requested. The lady who attended to me assured me that my ATM would be ready within 2–5 business working days. I said to myself, "Well, that's fine. It is still within my deadline." On the third day, I went to the bank. I was told that it was not ready yet. I waited until Friday and went there again, and I got the same story: "ATM not yet ready." Hian! I said okay, no wahala, let me check back on Wednesday next week. Wednesday arrived, and I was like, "My ATM should be ready now, surely." I bounced into the banking hall and sat down at the customer care waiting line. When it got to my turn, I told them I had come to collect my ATM card. The young man checked his system, stood up, and went inside. I was thinking that he was going in there to fetch my card, but when he returned, the question he asked me took me aback. Baba was asking me, "Sir, when did you apply for the card, and was it in this branch?" I was like... shey this guy dey whine me abi wetin? I asked him whether my details weren't in their system, which he confirmed they were, but my card was not yet available. He asked me to check back on Monday next week. I was scheduled to travel to Katsina that Monday! I told him about my travelling plans, but he said that I should come in the morning since my journey was scheduled for night. Monday morning, I came back, and this time it was the lady who handled the ATM registration that was on seat. I jumped the line and went to her directly and narrated my ordeal and frustration with their services. I told her that I was supposed to be in Katsina that morning. She apologised and went to enquire about the delays in my card issuance. I saw her going back and forth inside the banking hall while the other customers on the queue complained about being kept waiting. Me, I no even look anybody face. When she came back again, she told me that for some reason she couldn't find my card, which was very infuriating. I was making for the door when one of her colleagues advised her to check the cabinet where they kept mails. She did, and lo and behold, my card was there. Apparently, it had been sitting there for weeks! She apologised for the delays, though, but I wasn't in the mood for that, so I left immediately to go arrange and get ready for my journey, thinking my ordeal with this bank was over. Little did I know we were just getting started.

After the NYSC orientation camp, I was redeployed to Anambra. When I got to the NYSC office at Amawbia, we were told to open a new allawee account with FCMB (in the orientation camp in Katsina, we had opened an account with Zenith Bank for our allawee). I did as we were told, opened the account, and provided my BVN for linkage. When the first allawee from Anambra entered the FCMB account, I went to withdraw the money, but I was hit with a surprise! My BVN details did not tally with the account details. My DOB with my BVN wasn't the same as my FCMB account DOB. I went to FCMB to find out what the way forward was, and they told me to go back to the bank where I registered the BVN! Hian!! See wahala!! I went to the GTB closest to me at Awada, but they advised me to go to the one at Head Bridge, which was quite far. I was in Awada at that time, squatting with a friend. I had no choice but to go to Head Bridge because I was really running low on cash and needed the allawee so badly. I got to the bank, met the customer care person, and he asked for my birth certificate. I provided that to him, and he said I should check back in three days. Four days later, I came to the bank hoping for positive feedback. By this time, I was down to my last ₦2,000, and I had to trek from Upper Iweka to Head Bridge. I came in, sat down, and rested a bit before going up to the customer care guy and asking him about the update. This guy just pressed the keyboard as if he was trying to crack a hidden code, looked up at me, and said, "Do you have your local government birth certificate? The one that was issued to you by your local government?" Na small thing remain I for give that guy flying nodding. I asked him why he didn't request that particular document the first time I came to the bank. Well, sha, I told him that I didn't have it there with me at the time and that I would have to go back home to get it, as in travel back to my state. He advised me to do that and assured me that it would all be sorted out if I could provide that document. As I was about to leave, I saw another person complaining about the same BVN date of birth issue, and the funny thing was that this person was a staff of GTB but from another branch. Na there I know say evil spirit hand dey inside this thing.

Anyway, thank God that my state was Abia State and I wouldn't spend more than ₦700 (back when things were a bit better) to get a ticket back to Umuahia. I trekked back to Iweka, boarded a bus at Goodness and Mercies Transport Company, and headed back to Umuahia. When I got home, I narrated my issues to my parents (may God continue to rest their souls), and they immediately put calls through, and within a day, my LGA birth certificate was ready. My mother gave me some cash, and I was off the next day to Anambra. By the time I got to Onitsha, banks had already closed for the day, so I waited till the next day and went to the bank. I got there, provided the elusive document, and the guy told me to check back within five working days because they were going to forward my details to the CBN for verification. I said no wahala, wetin remain small don already finish. A week later, I returned to the bank after a very long distance of trekking, only for this guy to tell me that I should bring a valid ID card or driver's license for more verification! That's when I completely lost it! I stood up immediately, slammed my corper cap on his desk, and began causing a scene in the bank. My voice was so loud as I demanded to see the manager immediately! Every attempt to get me calmed down was fruitless. I was so enraged. The manager, who was a lady, finally came out and asked me what the problem was. I told them everything the bank had made me go through. She apologised and told me to go to the high court and get an affidavit. By that time, my last card was ₦3,500, and the affidavit was about ₦1,500, if I recall correctly. She promised that she would personally handle the case and that all she needed was an affidavit from court. I did as she told me to. I had to go to Awka for the affidavit. I got it done and brought it back to her, and she told me not to bother coming to the bank again, that she was going to call me as soon as everything was sorted out. I went back to the place I was squatting that day. ₦400 being my last card, I prepared spaghetti and beans with it and began to wait. Three days later, just as the food was about to finish, she called me to inform me that the problem had been sorted out. I checked my account with the mobile app and tried to buy a recharge card on it, and it was successful! I was overjoyed! All the time I was having this issue with the BVN, one month had passed, so I had two allawee sitting in my account.

And then I thought, finally, no more issues with this GTB... or so I thought.

Three months later, I went to the ATM around Aroma Junction to withdraw, but it didn't pay me, yet I got debited! Ha! Which one is this one again? It was getting late and about to rain heavily. I needed money to transport myself back to my lodge at Achalla, Igbariam. So I quickly ran to the Eco Bank ATM at Eke Awka, slotted in my card, and typed my withdrawal amount. The next thing I heard was the sound of my ATM getting swallowed! E come do me like say the world dey turn anticlockwise! Chineke nna, what is going on? Who did I offend in GTB that has sworn to give me HBP and stroke via their services? Desperately, I called one of the security guards at the ATM and told him what was going on. The guy asked me which bank's ATM I used, and I replied, "GTB," and he was like, "Bros, that card don go. Forget about am, them go destroy am. If to say na Eco Bank, them for bring am out for you tomorrow morning." Ha!!! Frustration started explaining the terms and conditions of our relationship to me in my ears. Suddenly, the tables that the market women left at their shops at Eke Awka started looking really comfortable in my eyes, because I no just get choice than to sleep on one of them this night. Then a light bulb lit up in my head. I remembered that I had a friend who stayed around Amawbia. Teddy was his name. We both met at Katsina camp and redeployed to Anambra together. I called Teddy immediately and told him my predicament and asked if I could crash at his place tonight. Unfortunately, he had a girl over that night, but as a bro, he told me to come over anyway. It was already raining by the time I got to his lodge. All throughout the night, I didn't sleep. All I kept thinking was how I was going to go to the GTB in the morning and withdraw every single kobo I had in that account. I was totally done with them. Immediately morning came, I rushed to the bank even before the staff. I waited patiently for them to open the banking hall. When it was time, I went into the bank, took the withdrawal slip, and with it demanded every last kobo in that account. Once I got it, I left the bank immediately, crossed to the opposite side of the road—there was Zenith Bank right opposite the GTB—went into the bank, and dumped all the money into my Zenith Bank account. And that was the last time I neared any GTBank. I had to run for my life before they killed me with frustration.

I dey use Airtel normal so I went to one small eatery to eat, I chop finish e reach to pay na so opay begin load, e just dey load, the waiter was there n u know that kind of thing that they will start feeling maybe the person no get money ni...


I maintain my cool, I check access e dey bring name but e no load to pay, I got frustrated that I had to show the waitress the account balance which she seems uninterested about cos of previous experience of people eating n giving excuses when it's time to pay.

I see say e wan dey turn f up na him I call my wife to send their money, I don reach shop back like this n I don off my phone like 500 times.

I learnt a bad lesson today, anytime I wan go chop I go first do transfer or make I hold reasonable cash.

My brother whatever you do in this country, try as much as possible to get different networks for data, try get different bank app for online transactions to avoid getting your white stained..... E get why, just yesterday I wanted to get some fruits on my way back from work, I couldn't transfer to the seller cos of bad Airtel network and I don't have data on my MTN... I got so frustrated I had to leave. . And the bad thing there is for me to sub my MTN I still need data from same Airtel to do that...... We still have a long way to go in this country.... Shikena!!!!!!

Summary:

Went to my stockbrokers from Ibd to Lagos. Needed something from the bank, the usual suspect, Access.

Step 1:
Got into the bank and noted the time as 2.47pm. Got in touch with the appropriate officer and transaction started.


Step 2.
They needed to call the domiciled branch where account was opened originally. They were doing Robo- Rebe. I kept my cool.

Step 3:
When it was about 5 minutes past 4, front door was locked and I envisaged they are working towards telling me to " come back tomorrow". I kept my cool.

Step 4:

With a voice that " roars like a lion" and " like a mad prophet" - apologies to Dr. DK Olukoya at exactly 4.15pm I shouted -Oga HOP, you better call the police officer on duty in your bank today because he should either be ready to arrest me or carry me out dead. The silence in the banking hall from the remaining customers being attended to and the staff was deafening.

Step 5:
From no where, Branch Manager came down to the banking all, took over and started calling the other branch. Meanwhile, the stockbrokers were calling me because I was delaying their own closure. Before you could say, Blessing CEO, the transaction was completed and I left their fucking banking hall in Ikeja.

Fear Access Bank and in addition, run away from the fellow that does not fear Access Bank.

Use the PEBEC platform to report them. Choosing the relevant authority behind your perceived injustice. I believe that should be CBN. I strongly recommend you attach or at least have evidence you can show should it be called form strong evidence admissible in the court of law o, not word of mouth, things like formal documents, bank statements, receipts.

This is another reason you should bulk whenever you ask for receipt for any transaction and the seller, or government representative whether police or tax official dismiss that...

Nobody can prove cash, so always insist strongly on receipts and keep them for these eventualities because at some point they will happen.


This is one of the effective ways one strangle thieves on their way to eat one alive... You don't even have to win, at the very least make is very costly for them to have when they obviously refuse to do the right thing.


This is how you bring order.

Make them accountable.


Even after the reporting with PEBEC, keep that evidence of reporting to PEBEC also should their be a full blown court action. Keep it safe ahead of time.

Wema Bank almost wan kill me.
An outward transfer transaction of 300,000 (three hundred thousand naira only) was initiated on the Wema Bank mobile app called ALAT and it ended up in an entirely different bank with no name and destination. This incident occurred on the 8th of May 2026 and till this moment the Bank has failed to provide further details of the transaction such as the name of the bank and the account number which the funds ended as it is not displaying on the receipt. I have escalated on the app, send emails to the customer service and visited several branches of the bank but all failed to provide the details of the transaction or reverse my funds. Till this moment I am yet to get my funds.

Na wa o, my bank is the worst of them all. Access Bank is seriously testing my patience. At this point, I’m even considering closing all my accounts and moving my salary account to one of these fintech banks.

Imagine, I’ve been chasing this bank since February just to reactivate my domiciliary account. I’ve visited their Oba Akran branch several times, spoken with customer service repeatedly, and the documents they requested are even more than what I submitted when opening the account.

In fact, their customer service team has video called me more than 10 times already. I’m sure after all this stress, they’ll still come back and say my utility bill has expired because it’s now over three months old, while the account still remains dormant.

yes access bank is big on this let me share my story and till date thry have not resolved it , before leaving the country for a medical trip I went to the local branch I use to ask them to increase my transfer limit from 1m to 5m I spent hours at the bank and I was assured everything was OK fast forward to when I got to my destination I could not even use the account to transfer anything and I had urgent medical bills to offset I could only use ussd with daily limit of 99k up till today it has remained like that

For 11 Years UBA and other Nigerian Banks Have unlawfully restricted him from Having Access to His Huge Funds .All His Efforts have been Thwarted by Nigerian Banks and their Cohorts at some Governments Agencies .

Rather than Releasing His Funds they resorts to Using the same Funds for their Business.This is Fraud and Threats to Life

How? The story is not adding up.

I can never forgive GTB and FBN for what they did to me .....chai...my God
