There was a time I went to the South East of Nigeria and I witnessed, how Red Oil is processed in a Community, in Enugu.
These people make Red Oil in commercial quantity. Their red Oil is of good quality.


Almost every home in that Community produce Red Oil.

Ok. I've heard about the process where Legs were used in some places. But this particular process is neat and far more advanced than others

Most small scale palm oil producers are now using palm oil press machine, which is quite better compared to the foot press method.

Either ways, if both are done under clean conditions, it poses no danger to the consumer. Even wine 🍷 in foreign countries are still processed by foot press method and they don't consider it dirty, but innovation is better overall.

I like the way they produce their own palm oil.

The red oil extraction process can be quite crude and cumbersome. It's not for the weak nor for those not wanting to be stained by greasy/oily liquids.

I great thing about palm kernel and red oil processing mills is that all produce/end products, from start to finish are useful and sellable - be it the chaff, kernel back, red oil extract, etc are important and fetches money.

As they continue pressing the oil, water will eventually join the last dregs of oil and flow into the receptacle.

This is why I believe nothing is special about the white people. Imagine you posted that wine is being processed in sokoto by aggressive matching with leg Nigerians will begging to insult ourselves that we are backward

True. There's nothing special about them at all, except for the fact that they believe in their own things and trust their own systems... Africans have been told that their own things aren't good enough, so they stopped innovating and relied on foreign tech. Either ways, it's obvious every society is founded on basic knowledge...

Let me post a glimpse of how I do mill my own oil here in Akwa Ibom...

Bc you never go Akwa ibom state before

God gave us everything to be self-sufficient and productive wherever our community is. But we will rather run to another side for greener "pastures".

Greed is killing us, not hunger where we can farm almost 360/24/7 in the year.

"Foot press method" can never be clean for obvious reasons. Top on the list: it is difficult to see a foot without dead skin.

That wine is for casual and local consumption only. It wouldn't pass the required hygiene tests for branding.

Those machines already exist...just buy them from China. My concern is cleaning. All these machines ought to be cleaned after use with hot steam and disinfectants. We just keep reusing them and wonder why we die early hmmm

The palm oil too is for small scale and local consumption. Most of them are sold in the local markets as unbraded palm oil.

You do this to protect your product from getting adoltrated by middle men before it gets to the market.
