My mum rears cockreal , there is a stupid beautiful white cock that derives joy crowing at odds hours like 4am till dawn infact any unusual time. This heediot happens to habe his cage opp my window hence no sleep for me from 4am.
Today i came out when it woke me by 4am and mistaken threw slippers to it breaking the leg.
It now hops on one leg, me thinking it would not have energy to crow again as it would use some nutrient for leg healing.

To my surprise this guy still get mind dey crow for 4am today again after breaking the legs yesterday.

I feel guilty for breaking the leg it was a mistake. But now the crowing is now worse.

The other orange male don't crow except this heediot white one.

That is a fully grown chicken. Pay your mother the required sum and barbecue the thing. Cocks crow for no reason whatsoever.

In my younger days, a lecturer let his rooster free roam around campus. The thing took upon itself the responsibility of becoming our personal alarm clock. 4 a.m., 6 a.m., 12 p.m., 4 p.m. and sometimes nighttime when I brought women over. Me and my friends reported the case to the owner. He kept playing dumb regarding the animal. Na so one day, we open door, set corn for the thing. The rooster was never heard from again and everybody slept well. Very tasty animal. Who could the man hold? The place had four hundred students living together.

As much as I love chickens, this is one thing that stops me from fully expanding until I get land in the outskirts of lagos.


I always have to sell the roosters in my noiler flock early cos of the noise. I don't like disturbing neighbors. Unlike local chickens, this agric crow at very off hours, and very loudly as if it is a competition. Imagine your neighbors enduring coocooroocoo at 3am when they're supposed to be enjoying their sleep. The kine swear way dey go dey give you ehn One time, I had to lock 3 roosters inside short cupboard overnight till I sold them. They need to stand and stretch to crow, and in that cupboard they can only sit in an uncomfortable position, so they weren't crowing.

The sun light is different at different times of the day in different places. Even the way algae or mould grow is different in different places. So I saw the sunlight was not Lagos sunlight or Ogun sunlight so I went with Oyo state.

Guy u nor try for breaking the leg ...I rear native cockreal too,u should have allow them do their thing.... Their crowing actually means something that haven't be discover till date....to my understanding when it start crowing like that .... it's a sign of peaceful environment.... it'll stop crowing immediately and start another type of disturbing crowing when there's danger....

The roosters in my compound crows from 3am till day break. It is their nature, forgive them.

Cocks crow all the time to mark their territories, just like dogs pee on objects to mark them with their scent so that when another male comes to that territory, they will know there is already a dominant male in the environment.

I had no idea just how territorial cocks are until I put introduced one new cock to a cage that already housed two. The two pounced on the newcomer and almost pecked his eyes out. I ended up removing the newcomer to avoid stories that touch.
