Politicians who have partake in APC and other Party Primary elections can't partake in another Party Primary Election again.
Fubara withdrew. Was he intimated on what's coming?. Interesting times ahead.

Chai!!

If this happens, the APC will have to challenge it at the Court
Yes, I believe they should also, cos they'll be at the biggest disadvantage if it's allowed to stand

APC better pull all legal stunts to ensure this judgement doesn't stand
Re: Court Nullifies INEC Membership Timeline by UAObi: 9:00pm On May 21
Whoever wants to decamp should do so fast before they prohibit it through another court order. No time
Re: Court Nullifies INEC Membership Timeline by press9jatv(m): 9:06pm On May 21
Hurray

The greatest headache of APC now is this new judgement against INEC. No judgement can be appealed by any 3rd Party except INEC itself and which will further destroy its current bad image.
The cage of Babylon is finally opened for all unlawful captives to escape..
Re: Court Nullifies INEC Membership Timeline by press9jatv(m): 9:06pm On May 21
The Federal High Court in Abuja has nullified several timelines and directives issued by INEC for the 2027 general elections.

The court held that:

1. INEC can only monitor party primaries and cannot dictate when political parties must conduct their primaries for the 2027 elections.

2. INEC cannot shorten the timeframe within which political parties are required to submit candidates’ particulars.

3. INEC cannot impose a shorter deadline for the withdrawal or replacement of candidates, including placeholder arrangements.

4. INEC cannot publish the final list of candidates earlier than 60 days before the election.

5. INEC cannot compel political parties to end campaigns two days before the polls.

The court consequently nullified INEC’s timelines relating to:

- conduct of party primaries;
- submission of candidates’ particulars;
- withdrawal and replacement of candidates; and
- publication of final candidates’ list and campaign timelines for the 2027 general elections.

Do you think all the abuses have not gotten to the Judiciary? They know that because of the conducts of some judicial officers, the Judiciary, thge Courts that are supposed to be the last hope of the masses have been rubbished and brought to terrible disrepute. So any bone that can be thrown to the masses to take their eyes off the courts is a win-win for both the courts and the masses. The judiciary has never been this bastardized before. The abuses have gotten to heaven. Remember, after God it is supposed to be the Judiciary, the Supreme Court. After God, it is supposed to be Supreme Courts in seeking justice. But in our own case, people rather cry to Satan than cry to the courts. The courts however, does not operate on emotions. But we would rather prefer a case is decided on its substance (justice) than on technicalities (manipulations, loopholes, anything-can-happen, even-the-guilty-can-be-set-free-despite-compelling-evidence, or even man-know-man basis). This is the crux of the matter.
Oga,Rest !
What is all this rubbish talk you wasted your time and efforts upon⁉️
Is it during the Civilian Rules that the ' Judiciary have been bastardized ' according to your Statements and it shows you don't know history !
• Where were you when the- IBB Military Junta-obtained Judgement after 8 .pm to -annulled the Election of MKO - June 12, in this same Nigeria.
Please 🥺,reason like a human being !
It was the Military of IBB and Abacha that failed severally- to Obey the Courts because 'we are bloody Civilians ' and they think they are above the Law!
It is not Now,but it has been worse during Una Military Regime!

But .... what makes you think the judgment favours a certain people excluding you?
Does it mean that when constitutionality prevails, it's against you and what you represent?
The court while ruling on a motion filed by the Youth Party said that the Electoral Act provision of 120 days before election to submit membership list should prevail against INEC's short deadline.
The court simple told INEC that the Electoral Act is superior to their guidelines, simple.
But you see it as a loss to you and what you represent.
Disgusting!
You typed like someone writhing in pains and can't respect other people's opinion.
Anyways I'm just a political analyst and a realist. The hypocrisy of people like you because you dislike the government in power makes it difficult to remove the speck in your eyes.
You people don't seem to see your hypocritical stance as irritating and childish.
I come in peace. cool

See how obedient are hailing the judgement.

No more Tinubu and wike has the judiciary in their pockets.

The judgement is a risky one as Appeal court might upturn it

Politicians will be afraid to Port or take the risk
Relax e never reach Supreme Court
Re: Court Nullifies INEC Membership Timeline by Mitsurugi(m): 9:34pm On May 21
Parachoko:
I'm not sure

If they partake in other parties primary, the case can be taken to court by any of their opponent in the APC and other Political Parties

As for me this Case is a 50/50 case
If they were disqualified they did not participate in the primaries

No because it's in electoral law sign by the president, the court cannot upturn what the electoral act says

They are not realistic and objective with little knowledge of politics and Nigeria political history. They see neutrals like us as supporting the government in power even when I'm not. I'm neutral and I will remain like that for now. But I hate their sheer hypocrisy

Very interesting hope the appeal and supreme courts won't upturn this judgment later?
. It's in the electoral act, the 120 days no court can upturn it

If you're not supporting their Candidate, they see you as an enemy immediately.

Apc would definitely appeal this judgment cos it's bad for them
. They cannot appeal because they are not Inec besides it is in the electoral act 120 days window before submitting the party's registered
Re: Court Nullifies INEC Membership Timeline by Dmano: 9:52pm On May 21
IGBOPROMISE1:
You don’t know the people you’re dealing with! They will rush to a higher court to get another status-quo ante bellum and prevent disgruntled members from defecting from APC! Just wait and see! wink
. The judgement was against Inec and not political party and besides it's 120 that is in the electoral act sign by the president
Re: Court Nullifies INEC Membership Timeline by toprealman: 10:01pm On May 21
Every pit wey dem dig for you, jump and pass.
They will still rule that all post May 10th candidates are illegitimate.

. There is nothing they can do because they are not Inec and beside the judgement is there is a 120 timeline by which a party can submit their membership register in the electoral act which superseded Inec guidelines

Goodness for NDC, they will be the biggest beneficiary if true.
The judge interpreted one leg of the law. Did he remember the number of days that primaries must be concluded and aspirants known before the election. INEC will appeal and the court of appeal will quash this ruling.
