When you are not doing well economically, your business is not moving or slow, you then take loans to build new mansion and new office, buy new official cars for your office and change all your vehicles in the house, new Benz for yourself and BMW for madam. That is the Nigerian way under baba. Build coastal road and other elephants projects all heavily padded and under paddy paddy arrangement at a time the economy is not in sound footing. At the end of the day deeper in igbese. |

It seems that subsidy was removed to enable them borrow more money in excess not necessarily to save money for the country because if the later was the case, Tinubu government supposed to be the government with the least borrowed money than Buhari and Jonathan combine. |

Another demagogue faceless “organization Alliance for Economic Research and Ethics LTD/GTE” preparing a skewed report. What should be researched along with the debt is what the loans were used for. In a balance reporting and if the aim is such, then the research while mentioning the loans should also have included the projects those loans were used for. That will produce a more informed reporting but then that will be contrary to the objective of their pay masters. They just want to create sound bites and the gullible will fall for it. Nigerians need to wise up and unmask who is sponsoring these type of mushroom organizations. Ofunaofu: |

Sannisege:The 21st century wonders that you guys are not teaching illiterates like us is how did we remove subsidy on fuel and forex and ended up borrowing more than all other administrations in the history of Nigeria since 1960. We really need explanations. |

Timmi:It is also very curious that the mega projects like Lagos-Calabar coastal highway and the Badagry-Sokoto version were awarded without due process.....no bidding..... doesn't that scream corruption? Tinumbu isn't doing well on evidence on ground..... insecurity. Economy, electricity. People are going through hell. |

OracleJay411:Problem with naija is you and the majority of people including Oga at the top do not know how to handle money. They have not done proper work to build a business from scratch. Of cause you can have a briefcase company and through influence get 50m contract to supply 10 units of 1hp Ac and make millions, but it is different from someone who has 2m and in 2 years turns it around and makes it 20m. Wise people said Eg coastal road is good, but we are not in the current financial situation to rush into it and others, rather stabilize the economy first, turn it to green from red then you can build those projects, but una no gree. I will give you real life example between two friends who shared 100m each from a business deal. One rushed and bought a Benz for 50m and was left with 50m, ofcourse his other bills got high based on his Benz status, even the bills from his chicks increased, policemen in checkpoint giving him wahala or begging for money, his friends nko will not take no for an answer when they ask him for money, even when they go out, they expect him to pay as he has arrived. On the other hand the other friend did a fix deposit or tbills for 1 year, got 20m unfront. He went and bought a carmry for 10m, then had 10m cash left in his hand to continue chasing business. His bill increase but not as his friend who bought Benz, police don't even look at him as he drives pass, his car is reliable with low expenses etc. At the end of 1 year Mr Benz has less than 20m remaining from the initial 100m. On the other hand his friend after 1 year has his 100m intact, he has his camry, he also has over 5m remaining from the 20m he got upfront as he has lived within his means, infact he will place his 100m for another 1 year and have fresh 20m to inject into his business. Oga naija could have been ran in a better way than what these current characters are doing, running the country to the grounds, sinking it in debt. |

You mentioned the ones that normally will take sometime for the effect to be seen but conveniently forgot to mention the many students that have and are benefiting from the NELFUND and the schools fees that the Federal government has been paying under this administration. It is also pertinent to mention that those roads are been constructed under a private/government partnership. The government contributes only 30% while the private company contributes 70%. Why cant Tinubu stabilize the economy instead of giving loans, Nigeria has never had it this bad under APC right from Bubu to emilokan.Bad policies everywhere. As for tye roads, are you telling me that if I put my empty pot on that road,it will be filled up with food? |

Immediately I saw the title, I was hoping it will be factual and not for illiterates. You MUST denominate Nigerian debt in USD to be unbiased. Any other rubbish analysis is for politics and illiterates. |
