I was just thinking out loud. What if these bandits are working for politicians in other to raise money for campaigns for their 2027 elections.? Because I don’t see any reason why government can’t take these guys head on. Imagine if it were a secessionists agenda, the government wouldn’t have wasted any time in crushing them. |

Storm the hideout at night when they are sleeping and rescue the children and teachers. Catch them off guard. Save one of them to extract information and find out who sent them. |

How does China fight crime 1) Zero tolerance for curruption. Crimes like drug trafficking and curruption can carry the death penalty. It doesn't matter who you are. Once caught trials are swift and brutal to discourage others. 2) Massive identity database and surveillance. You can't go anywhere in China without a CCTV camera monitoring you and Everyone is enrolled in the database. If you commit a crime, you can't hide anywhere for long. 3) Cashless policy. You can make payments with just face recognition. Cash is hardly ever carried. We can learn from these to stop criminals and kidnappers. They are thriving because they can collect and freely spend millions in cash without anyone raising an eyebrow. They can show their faces freely on tiktok and Instagram because we don't have a comprehensive and viable database to identify and track them down. And currupt officials sabotage the efforts of the few who are trying to do the right thing. We have a long way to go. And sadly we havent even started. |

ayusco85:No mind the evil politicians, people are dying everyday and the evil people are saying they don't want to hurt civilians. Nations do things for deterrence, I don't know if they are too dumb to see the jihadists territorists are using this same tactics and kidnapping more students because the government is too weak, they know government will beg, this begging embolden other terrorists to kill and kidnap more. Very useless government. |

Negotiating with terrorists and paying ransom would only make kidnappings a regular occurrence. The fact that they unalived that teacher is enough reason not to negotiate cos this would expose the government weaknesses. This is the same mistake the north made and it is happening over and over again. When would Nigerian leaders learn this? If these terrorists are taken out by the security forces, it would be a deterrent to others who are thinking in the same direction. Some oyo state indigenes have connived with these terrorists to Carry out this abduction. Seyi makinde needs to introduce stricter laws and employ the use of drones to patrol the forests. If not, this would become a regular occurrence. The terrorists are testing the waters right now to see how weak the oyo state government is |

dederocs:I understand your anger and frustration because the insecurity and kidnappings are getting out of hand. But saying “if some civilians die, it is part of warfare” is easy to say until your own brother, wife, child, or parent is among those hostages. Yes, terrorists must be fought seriously and government must improve intelligence, security, and rescue operations. But hostage situations are delicate. A rushed military operation can end with innocent people being killed alongside the terrorists. The real solution is not endless begging or weakness, but a smarter strategy: stronger security, better intelligence gathering, prevention of kidnappings, cutting terrorist networks and funding, and carefully planned operations when necessary. Fighting terrorism should not mean becoming careless about innocent lives. Those hostages are human beings, not statistics. |

In the words of Martin Niemóller: "First, they came for the communist, I didn't speak out because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, I did not speak out, because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me." When these bloodthirsty marauders were rampaging NORTH EAST, we all said it was a "family affair and that they should confine their madness to the North". Next, they invaded Benue, Plateau and some middle bless States. We kept quiet because we in the South felt safe. Next, they visited South East and South South, we continued playing politics and describing it as a "political tool". Now, they are in the South west, what sayeth thou? Is it still business as usual or are we ready to tackle these monsters head long? Meanwhile, RIP to the deceased and may God bring back those that are captured safely and unharmed. Those of you that keep supporting evil because of monthly stipend, make una continue o. It's gradually getting to your door step. And those of you who are reveling in the misery of other regions, I hope you're learning your lesson? |

We the yoruba deserved everything coming our way. We should have listened when Nnamdi Kanu warned us. We even remained silent because it's one of us leading the nation. Another attack on the yorubas is definitely in the making. |

equity1:It's not frustration, it is acting decisively to discourage future kidnapping. It is myopic and disastrous to appeal to terrorists, you think you are saving a dozen people today, but tomorrow they will kidnap thousands. You people are myopic, the millions of soft almajiri criminals in the north are watching, they are seeing how easy it is, to kidnap and hold the government and country to ransom. American special forces stormed Nigeria and released kidnapped tourist. Israeli forces stormed Uganda during Idi Amin era, and released the victims of the hijacked plane by Palestinian terrorists in Uganda airport No nation beg terrorists only Nigeria, that is why we have the most intense internal jihadists terrorists problem. By begging terrorists you only encourage them, and encourage more youths to go into kidnapping and terrorism because it's easy. Deterrence is the key to curtailing crime, people have guns in America but use it consciously, because they know they can meet the electric chair if it is misused. We need to storm that hideout, kill the terrorists and release the hostages, it is a disgrace, a country like Nigeria being held at the jugular by ragtag terrorists, their advocates and sponsors. By begging them, giving them money and making them feel important by the governor begging and calling them, we are encouraging more northern almajiri youths to join jihadists territorists kidnapping business. Learn to think. We have been appeasing, begging, rehabilitating, releasing terrorists, and yet the terrorism is increasing, this shows we are the ones making it worse by the wrong soft approach. The right approach should be, either terrorists run out of Nigeria, or get eliminated. This is the only way. |
