Nobody writes this list so I will.

1. The cold is not just weather. It is a personality. It will change you.
2. You will spend the first 3 months converting every price to naira. Stop. You will not survive.
3. Nigerian food exists here but it will cost you emotionally and financially.
4. You will miss the most random things — the noise, the heat, the fact that someone is always around.
5. Sending things home is harder than it should be. Finding a reliable cargo service is a genuine life skill.
6. Your Nigerian friends here will become your family faster than you expect.
7. The NHS is genuinely free and it will confuse you every single time.
8. You will buy a coat, think it's enough, and be humbled by February.

What else would you add? And for number 5 — anyone use REDS (usereds.com)? Curious if others have tried them for UK→Nigeria and Nigeria→UK cargo.
When you write finish you tell me why una no get office for Dundee for items going to Nigeria.

Yesterday i received a call from a friend who left for Portugal about a month ago, the lamentation for rent no be here o. 600k naira monthly when you convert the Euro amount to naira just for one room apartment in a five bedroom flat, shared toilet and kitchen with all the occupants of the other saperate rooms. A lot of bills, but minimum wage is about 900 euro.

The comparisons can weigh you down if you don't know your ways. However, she said there's jobs available, just the language barrier.

In all, life over there is still far better than Nigeria. We only need to fix our country because their's didn't fall from heaven, it was designed and fixed. We can do it too.

First step is to remove Tinubu and his APC group of thieves in 2027.
Thats around 377 euro for rent. Make she try and find another job to add to the one she’s doing currently.

Instead of you to come out openly and promote your business your deceiving yourself using the back door...

This act alone shows your shipping service is not trustworthy.

I am currently looking for a reliable shipping service and this usered or whatever doesn't look like what can be trusted

You forgot to write that people are suffering without mentioning it in the UK.

You forgot to write that many that relocated to the UK are regretting

You forgot to write that many that relocated to the UK are ashamed to come back because there is nothing to show

Suffering and smiling

Pointing out the realities of living abroad does not equate to discouragement, except to lily livered Simpletons.

So many things you didnt list so i will help you.
9. The uk is made up of 4 countries each uses the pounds and have their seperate pounds denomination. All are accepted in various country. English 10pounds is different from Scottish 10 pounds. Infact in Scotland they have like 4 different 10 pounds. One by Bank of Scotland , another by Cylde Bank, Another by Royal Bank of Scotland.
10. Each countries in the UK have tgeir own head of Government like president but they still report to west minister in England headed by the prime minister Keir Starmmer.
11. Even though they all speak english with differnt variety they also have their local language like welsh and Gaelic. Someone from Liverpool can not communicate with Someone from NewCastle. The worst i heard is Glasgow Accent with Nay and Aye. It may talk u forever to hear a word from Glaswegian.
12. Weather is different warmer in England that is why alot of Nigerians go to London England but coldest in Scotland like Aberdeen and Dundee. In june you could see the sun shining at 10pm and sun up at 3am. In december it is dark by 4pm till 8am.
13. You pay compupsory tax and National insurance. If your hourly wage is 10£ and you work 10 hours. By calculation you should get 100£ but no. NI and tax can bring the money to 65£-80£. That is your take home and you cant fight anybody.
14. U may be fine for spitting or urinating by bush side. It is antisocial behaviour and u could pay from 100 -150£ for spitting and urinating in public can make u a sex offender. Its better to piss for body than bring JT out to piss.
15. U can live in a building for 10yrs and not know your next door neighbour. U can even die in your house for a year and nobody will know.
16. Yoruba says work doesnt kill but poverty kills. Not in the UK, i have seen autospsy result where cause of death is overwork. People dey die from working too much.
17. Its better to be hungry than to be homeless, i have never seen fan or Air con in the UK. Just open your window and tgey no burn u well u no ho sweat. Every house has heater and if your central heater is not working, your landlord must provide u a temporary one in 12hours. You can happily sue him if there is none. Cold kills faster than heat. Even the oyinbos never get used to cold hence dont expose your self to cold

Yes I agree with the subtle loneliness but it mostly affect extrovert ....I am a deep introvert, don't like loud noise, don't like seeing people around for long, don't do clubing, can stay in doors for days and weeks provided there is light, data and food am good to go.

Even though travelling is part of my hubbies.
I can relate. This is Gen Z lifestyle. They can be on their own space locked up in the room for days.

I can fit in immediately. I like cool weather, though I will have to cope with the cold weather in my first few months. I don’t like crowd or noise. I’m balanced (introverted and extroverted), that’s being ambivert.

I can easily fit in the system or in any situation I find myself, provided I have a job and enough food.

Very dumb submission. Do you greet people when you enter public transport in Nigeria?
Let me get it, you mean when you board BRT you just shout "Good morning to everyone here"

10. Driving on the left side of the road...your brain just have to get used to it n changing transmission with the left hand

11. No unnecessary bank charges like sms, atm maintenance etc

You will be very alright.
The cold weather is lovely.
Even during summer, the heat is mild and friendly compared to "hellfire" heat in Nigeria.

We wear thick clothings and there is 247 electricity to use heater unlike in Nigeria, crazy heat , no electricity to use AC.

While in Nigeria, I had very few friends and rarely had visitors over or visited people... After work, I stay home with my family. That's enough.

If you can travel,please do.
Just make sure you are working..
I relocated on a skilled worker visa after 4 years of planning.
