Someone Abused My Toddler! by naniawini(op): 4:14pm On May 24
Hi. I greet everyone on this platform. I'll try to make this short as possible. I have a baby girl, she's just a toddler about three years but I and the dad are no longer together.

So about three weeks ago I wanted travelling so I didn't have anyone to look after her. I decided to keep her with her dad pending when I come back. So I called the father to let him know. I live in Port Harcourt and he lives in Delta. So I took her to the paternal grandparents house so he can pick her from there not knowing he already planned with his elder sister so my baby girl can stay with her. We argued about it and I just decided to let things be.

Then I picked my daughter about a week ago and when we got home I wanted bathing her, I observed if I try to wash her down there she'll cry then I knew my fears has been confirmed. I decided to question my baby girl because I've always taught her that no one should touch her down there. My little girl told me the aunt's husband used to ask him to suck his tongue and vice versa... I believe my little girl. Now! I told the dad but he's not believing me... I plan on taking her to the hospital tomorrow for check up. What kind of a father won't believe his little girl rather he's saying I'm the one lying. I don't know what to do honestly.

Please I need your opinions. Pardon my typo error please.

Get medical exam confirmation and go to the ministry of women affairs closest to you and then to the police.

The kind of father the mother of the child picked for her.😒

I suggest you focus your mind on getting your girl medically checked. If abuse is confirmed, you report the situation to the right authorities, ensuring to charge the father of the child for negligence. 😒

It is the job of parents and society as a whole to protect the vulnerable including the children. 🥱

The LORD referenced in that passage you quoted is also said to be. God of Israel, not God of Nigerians. 🥱🥱

Nigerians and in general African parents remain among the worst of all when it comes to protecting their children. Why? Because they continually out source their duties as protectors to imaginary beings. 🥱🥱

It won't cost you much. First go to the general clinic to test her. Let's hope it's something different.

But if you confirm she was indeed abused. Go to the police station and write a full statement. Google how to file a complaint with ministry of women affairs or social welfare and rehabilitation.

Update us on the case later

You have nothing to lose by getting justice for your child, you and your ex-husband are not dating so no risks. Escalate the matter to your own family members. You have to report the case to the police. That pervert needs to be locked up as he's a risk to underaged toddlers. It is your duty to do the needful. But remember go along this route with a family member or a close friend.

Wetin dey do some men sef? How much is olosho? Even if you don't have money, there are still girls they call understanding girlfriends. Why rape someone?
Re: Someone Abused My Toddler! by brain54(m): 7:28am On May 25
This is very sad...

So someone can't leave their 3 year old daughter for one week again without someone preying on them.

What the world has become is disgusting.

Op I believe you/the little girl if the useless father wouldn't. Be more careful with your child in the future. Trust no one around her. It's unfortunate that this happened under the watch of family members.

Learn from this and be more careful in the future!

You are already confusing yourself just because you want to argue and defend nonsense.
Is it by force you make comment?

Re: Someone Abused My Toddler! by Onegai(f): 9:35am On May 25
Naniawini, if the hospital prove that indeed SA happened, you'll need that report and immediately look for a lawyer.

Not one that wants to chop your money, an actual lawyer who cares

The lawyer should escort you to Ministry of Women and Children's Affairs (google it on your state, if in Lagos, it is Mirabel Centre).

They should file a Police complaint and the lawyer needs to file for Temporary Custody of your child, on your behalf. So that you don't have to allow her father to keep her for overnight visits, all visits will be he coming to see her but not being able to take her anywhere. And during those visits, your Aunt or Mum should be present not you, so that fight doesn't break out.

Please know that what has happened is so shocking, his family will most likely defend their daughter and her husband. Don't be shocked, it's human nature. Pray and forgive them but take this to the police.
