Founder of the One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has cautioned former Vice President Atiku Abubakar against joining the 2027 presidential race, insisting the South must be allowed to complete an eight-year tenure like the North did under Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement on Saturday, Maharaj Ji said any northern bid would “undermine the North-South political understanding” that has shaped recent elections. “The South must be allowed to complete its eight-year duration in Aso Rock like the North did in respect of the immediate past Buhari administration,” he stated.

He called on the Northern Elders Forum and other stakeholders to prevail on Atiku and other northern aspirants to withdraw, warning that silence from northern elites is “dangerous” and could “heighten political tension across the country.”

Maharaj Ji accused some northern elites of fueling Nigeria’s political and economic woes, and said Atiku “had already benefited significantly from public service and should consider retiring from active politics.” He warned that disrupting the current balance could trigger “avoidable unrest” ahead of 2027.

The spiritual leader urged Nigerians to uphold “fairness, justice, and adherence to democratic principles” to preserve unity, stressing that peace and constitutional governance must guide preparations for the next election.

Why would Nigerians take this man seriously?
Serious Nigerians who want a return to PDP prosperity years of cheap petrol, low debt, high productivity, low unemployment, less insecurity etc are taking him seriously and rallying round him.

Are you a serious Nigerian, who understands the need to take back our country from APC's clueless governance that has worsened extreme poverty and insecurity over the past 11 years huh

May Day: Hunger, unemployment, insecurity real— Tinubu

According to him: “The theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this administration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.”

On the economic hardship, he noted that while it is a global phenomenon, its effects on Nigerians are particularly severe.

Tinubu said: “I am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians face—rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President.

Festus Keyamo Defends Tinubu From Drug Trafficking, Says Tinubu Mistakenly Shared Flats With Drug Lords

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo, has distanced the All Progressive Congress presidential candidata, Bola Tinubu, from being a drug baron who was involved in the traffic of narcotics in the United States.

Keyamo, who also doubles as APC Presidential Campaign spokesperson, noted that the former governor of Lagos State only shared a block of flat with drug barons about 30 years ago in the US.

His reaction is coming following documents of a Chicago District Court indicting and convicting Tinubu of drug dealings and money laundering in 1993.

The document which emerged online two days ago, described APC standard-bearer as a drug baron, adding that Tinubu entered a plea bargain, leading to the forfeiture of his assets to US authorities in 1993

It was also pointed out that Tinubu forfeited the sum of $460, 000 dollars in his bank account at First Heritage Bank to the US government.

Speaking on Wednesday on Channels TV, Mr Keyamo dismissed such claims, insisting that Tinubu was linked to drug peddlers who were his neighbours.

He said: “What happened was that Tinubu went to open an account. The address which he used in opening the account was the address used by these people. I think some blocks of flats. Maybe, he was happy to be in that block of flats too.

“So, they now link it that the other people they were investigating for narcotics are in the same address used by Asiwaju to open that account.’’

LOL. In Elrufai's word. The north know him better than us, so rich in history and that's why he's not so popular, unlike late buhari and kwakwanso. Remember kwakwanso almost defeated buhari in the primaries conducted ahead of the 2015 presidential election without bribing anyone, while atiku came a distant 3rd despite all the dollar largesse on delegates. See how his candidate floored apc in Kano, despite the latter being the ruling party, both at state and federal levels. These haters won't remember all these but dwell on fake stuff. Let atiku and tinubu test their popularity with Kwakwanso in the north. The south and part of the middle belt is for obi.

Did you know Ekiti people protested at Adebayo area 2 days after the election that it was Peter obi they voted and how come tinubu won? They didn't tell me this, I witnessed it. Just like what happened in rivers. I went to my grannies town in ekiti that day. The rigging machine which is their last hope will be put to a perpetual stop this time around. Some of those who witnessed the electoral fraud of the apc have left the party and would expose any irregularities this time.

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.

He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.

He said, “I think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth.

“But it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty.

“If we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.”

In my own opinion, Nigeria needs a much younger, vibrant leader with vast experience in economic development and growth for a Country.
For where? Even the younger vibrant leaders you are mentioning are terrible as house of representatives members, council chairmen, SAs, PAs, even governors/ministers. No genuine ideology

Tinubu rules out alliance with CPC

Prospect of a possible alliance between the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN and Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, was dashed yesterday in Kano as the leader of the party and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu described CPC as parading “expired leadership.”

Tinubu told ACN supporters in Kano during the party’s Presidential rally that: “What Nigerians need now is a transformation in leadership” as obtained in the advanced economy.

The two-term Governor of Lagos State explained that the leadership of ACN was offering Nigeria the brilliance of Nuhu Ribadu who, he said, is in the class of Nicolas Sarkozi of France, David Cameron of Britain, Medvedev of Russia and Barack Obama of the United States of America.

“What has CPC got to offer? We certainly don’t need expired leadership as we are offering the best in terms of brilliance, courage and patriotism in the class of Sarkozi of France, David Cameron of Britain and Barack Obama of the USA.”

Tinubu’s position came on the heels of Ribadu’s declaration penultimate week in Kaduna when he hinted during a political rally of a joint ticket between the two opposition parties to confront the dominance of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The national leader of ACN criticised President Goodluck Jonathan for shying away from the national debate held last Friday, stressing that”that singular act exposed Jonathan as a coward who has nothing to offer.”
