Muhammadu Buhari secured 3,430 votes at the 2014 All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention to emerge as the party's presidential flagbearer for the 2015 elections. Later, for his 2019 re-election bid, he was affirmed via voice vote after polling 14,842,072 direct primary votes across Nigeria.


Unlike the 2014 competitive delegate system, the APC adopted a direct primary system in October 2018. Party members nationwide voted in their states, yielding 14,842,072 votes for Buhari as the sole aspirant. These figures were officially announced and ratified by a celebratory voice vote at Eagle Square, Abuja.

Why do we, Nigerians, think that the National Assembly and the Executive snuck in ballot papers without stamp un the Electoral Act 2026? It is to rig and fill ballot boxes with fake ballot papers and give fake/inflated numbers like the APC primaries.
