So I just got this truck as man's getting older and practical and I'm loving it,maybe early excitement though,I don't know.
Things I noticed:
This thing burns a lot of gas,I mean a lot!15.5-15.6L/100km na em dey for dash steady ,used to be 14.3L/100km,don't know why it jumped.

Hard steering ,maybe because it's coming from someone that have been driving sedans for a while now and some CUVs.

Large turning space and poor manoeuvrability,Hilux no follow you manage space oo,you go reverse tire.

Sturdy suspension,you no dey feel anything.

Slow truck,crawls its way up to 170kph and stays there,sucks!

And I get free service for 20,000km or one year whichever comes first from the dealership at no cost.

Car came at 677km

Expensive purchase no doubt but worth it.

4cyl Auto transmission.

Ford ranger is still kicking,though with a barrage of electrical problems.
That car died when I let charlatans touch it honestly.
Looking to get an L200 and rest and retire that ole miss,e don too chop my funds.
It's for my company anyways and I don't use it personally, bad operators too can also do a number on some of these machines.

Good to see you still trucking. I did drive the Hilux 2020 for about 3 years and I agree with all you wrote bit the reliability is unmatched I'd say. You can up and go anywhere at anytime.

Depends on your preferences though but I'd have gone for something different with that cash.

I don't even like the truck,I just went for practicality and simplicity over fancy.
I had 3 choices,
Fortuner, Prado,Hilux GR or normal hilux.
Picked the cheapest option tbh

15 liters per 100 km? It's high. Though cute ride. My 505 Peugeot was between 9 - 10 liters per 100km for express
