Mtwcheww ......just tell us that the Bayelsa State Governor and his group of close workers bought aircraft so that they won't be delayed or harassed in airports ......

Why all these propaganda.huh

Will a common man pay less for the aircraft or will the aircraft carry them for freehuh?

Congratulations to them, but I think state governors should be investing in power than airlines. The likes of Air Peace are wailing about how unprofitable the industry is and state governors are still jumping into the business
State as well as local and federal governments have no business running businesses.

Governments should employ well paid civil servants to provide enabling environment of law and order, security as well as basic services and common utilities like water and electricity supply, free education for all children etc.

What is the record of Bayelsa state government in these basics huh

How does Dangote refinery that was licensed by PDP prosperity politicians of deregulation and privatisation policies, compare with NNPC refineries?

Neo-black Problem: Must Blacks Be Ruled by Whites in Order to Prosper?

In short, the neo-black dilemma may be framed as follows: is it better to live under white rule without political dignity but with basic life-sustaining standards for many;

or to live under black rule with illusory political dignity and without basic life- sustaining standards for the majority?

The path forward for Africa lies in cultivating higher and adequate levels of personal and communal agential integrity as well as full personal responsibility and productivity. Not to mention creativity (including epistemic creativity), productive justice (such as merit and freedom), harmony and reconciliation at local and international levels, and a proper domestication of capitalism and other related values and institutions.

Africa must stop wasting her time on dreams of socialism because it is a system of wealth distribution primarily. Whereas, capitalism is a system of wealth creation primarily, and wealth has to be produced before it can be distributed.

Do Akwa Ibom cities and towns have water supply to all households before the government prioritised Ibom Air?
Abi they are drinking water from shitty boreholes like most Nigerians huh

It is by far better than Enugu.

500 gallons of water go for N20k. Multiply by 4 in a month, that's N80k. By extrapolation, that's N960k in a year on water alone. Why? Because the governor believes that clean and accessible water is the least of his worries. Yet they prance around like Enugu is Abuja even though the red muddy soil will have residents looking like they went tomb-raiding at night.

But then, considering where it was before Peter Mba, one can understand the accolades being that he moved the town from 16th Century to 17th Century but not anywhere near 20th Century. 21st Century is a stretch. EEDC? The worst of all.

The Permanent Secretary, Office of Drainage Services and Water Resources in Lagos State, Mahmood Adegbite, has said that people drilling borehole in the Lekki axis of the state is probably drinking ‘’shit water.”

While speaking at a stakeholders meeting in the state recently, Adegbite noted that contaminated boreholes in Lekki pose health risk and added that treatment of waste water would eradicate any form of disease that may arise from it.

He said, “On waste water treatment, I will say that everyone digging borehole within the Lekki axis is probably drinking what I will call ‘shit water.’

Go delta and ask about Uduaghan buses them. They run mostly between towns n states.

The aviation industry has one of the thinnest profit margins, yet governors of notoriously poor states are unveiling airlines, aircrafts and airports. It shows low I_Q.

The other day, I read that Abia is building an airport even when at least FIVE states with airports (none in the top two busiest nationwide) are abut to Abia. Meanwhile, illiterate Abian residents were delighted. Few months later, Kogi, too, announced the construction of its own airport. I just laughed
i know u have never left Nigeria.eveey state deserves atleast one airport.Delta has two.theres something we call ease of doing business.some investors will never come to ur state by road.I cannot sit in a car now for 2hrs.Airport is a necessity.I understand we are a poor nation but we have to do what we have to do.
Re: Bayelsa Airline Makes Maiden Flight by Focusmind: 5:22pm On May 26
Sadly, people are here praising the governor. Something that has no direct benefits to the average Bayelsian. Nigerian governors and waste of scarce public funds are 5 and 6

I'm not a zombie, I support good policies no matter who executes them... I was a strong critic of late president buhari and I still believe his emergence as president sent d nation 20 yrs backwards... But I commended him after he fixed jebba-mokwa road and also some other infrastructure... If you're in power and you do good, I'll hail you... My goal is that Nigeria progress no matter who is the president.... Unlike you that you get joy from spreading bad news and you're always happy whenever bad things are happening and sad when good things are happening.... Kai

I will let the first line slide.

Ease of doing business isn't by creating airports everywhere, even in poor states. You first build railway lines to transport goods and people in large numbers before constructing airports, especially when nearby states have airports that are grossly uncompetitive in numbers (passenger traffic and revenues).

Abia doesn't have good roads leading to Akwa Ibom. Ukwa West abi East has HORRIBLE roads. I passed there this January. The good roads were only on the Akwa Ibom side. Abia needs a functioning railway that transports industrial goods from its side and agro-commodities from the north to Onne Port, not an airport.

come to ur state by road.I cannot sit in a car now for 2hrs.Airport is a necessity.I understand we are a poor nation but we have to do what we have to do.
You use the train and none of these states have motorable roads. States as poor as Kogi and Abia don't need airports. Why should a poor Bayesla have an airport? What for?

https://nairametrics.com/2026/05/26/nigerias-aviation-industry-shrinks-47-3-first-contraction-in-nearly-two-years/

Industry has contracted, but yeah, build airports.
Here are the most profitable routes in Africa: https://qz.com/africa/1695950/emirates-british-airways-run-africas-most-profitable-air-routes

No Nigerian airport is listed, but hey, Kogi and Abia need airports.

I see why the country has a long way to go. A large number of the citizens are stark illiterates!

Congratulations to Bayelsans, this would translate into jobs for those in the aviation industry.
More also expect more revenue for the state and influx of other related businesses.
