Sturdy suspension,you no dey feel anything.

Slow truck,crawls its way up to 170kph and stays there,sucks!

And I get free service for 20,000km or one year whichever comes first from the dealership at no cost.

Car came at 677km

Expensive purchase no doubt but worth it.

Brand new Toyota Hilux shouldn't consume that much fuel.

It's fuel consumption comes when you don't service when due.

Please check if you mistakenly activated the auxillary gear.

It doesn't also crawl, ensure you don't full throttle cos the weight won't allow it accelerate at the speed you press down so go gradually to your way up.

You really don't need 170 on that machine tho.

That's the thing with Toyotas.

They aren't the prettiest automobiles. Not by a long shot.

They will not win any beauty contests. The styling of most Toyota's doesn't usually take your breath away.

But...unlike some other manufacturers (WMB and zneb sedecrem for example ) Toyota spends the money where it really matters - underneath the sheet metal. You can't see it - but its there.

Quality control. Stress testing. R & D. Supply chain management. Inventory management. That's where Toyota pours the money into - and it shows.

Toyota always gets the job done. Always.

But the evidence doesn't support this claim.

Toyota and Lexus consistently do very well in most reputable surveys for quality and customer satisfaction in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and North America. In places like Nigeria where the survey culture isn't as well developed, there is still clear evidence that consumers do not believe Toyota makes "rubbish cars". The sales numbers (for both new and used Toyotas) prove it.

This sort of market reputation doesn't happen by accident...or by building 'rubbish cars'.

If don drive Mercedes before you no go like Hilux at all for the steering maneuverability,, but like the one I'm driving in our company yard, I like it for it's power...it answers whenever you call.

I had 3 choices,
Fortuner, Prado,Hilux GR or normal hilux.
Picked the cheapest option tbh

Anyways,it's done,too late for options now.

That Fortuner it's not so so common like that, I dey always admire am. Prado is for the bigger boys. Hilux is for engineers and advanced technicians.
All these vehicles na Baba. No one wey you put for road wey you no go dey "look down on others" due to height. Them get go ground clearance too...

@Op. Hilux don't consume fuel like that. Check if you mistakenly activate the auxiliary, also revert back to Econ mode if it is in Power mode. I turned from slow lane when making u-turns to avoid reversing .
It crawls because you pressed the accelerator one time instead of gradually. I Drive a 2020 model.
