Yes, I know about all these players you mentioned being Alemany's signings that's why I've been complaining about it and hoping Deco would rectify it.

Deco seems more prudent in salary structure compared to Alemany but I still have serious doubts in Deco's negotiating power in handling big players.
Even Gavi wages back then had me scratching my head. Alemany was trigger happy in increasing players salary in geometric progression.

But all these players you mentioned were doing quite well, in fact very well for most at the time. It's only Ter Stegen's I'd question but it's passable given the years he's spent in the team and being team captain.
That's why I'm having problems with Lamine's salary. Of course he's performing for now....but €27mn for what at what age?
It looks good now till the time to renew him and upgrade salary that's when you'll know his wage is problematic. Good thing is the base is €17mn and the €10mn on top was bonuses, it's too high for me tho. And a player as egoistic as Lamine Yamal, that fee can become our poisoned chalice.

All the players you mentioned then asides Ter Stegen were performing at the time. Now in hindsight they're looking like bad decisions.

That's the reason why it confuses people when they see us spending €62mn on Dani Olmo and somehow being unable to register him.

On talent ID, looking at the players they've brought together, I can't say Deco is better than Alemany.

Alemany far outpaces him. Deco is good at scouting good/decent players, it doesn't necessarily mean he's good at getting players that fits the club's system or philosophy.

It's like the Griezmann scenario. Griezmann as a single player is a very good world class player anywhere, but we could all see how it didn't work at Barcelona.

So on this note, Alemany is far better than Deco.

Deco is still benefitting from Alemany's signings and work. Na from this season we go fully see Deco's handwork. Especially now that we're in 1:1 rule.

Na Alemany sign Kounde, Lewandowski, Raph, Ferran.... Let's even forget the big ticket signings.
He brought Cancelo, Chris, Franck Kessie, Gundogan, Eric Garcia as free players.... Majority of these guys are still major squad players under Deco.

Alemany free signings are even more qualitative and impactful than Deco's.

Barca and Deco was in England for negotiations this past week.

The Gordon guy sef, I never really watch him game oo but I don't buy that money we're getting him for.

Make we kukuma manage Rashford that way with another loan. Use the money and add something to it and hustle for a top striker.

Sha, you've made valid points but I'll say Deco edges him slightly in my opinion.

I'm not a fan of English players but Gordon will do better than Clifford. Those who watch the games will see his impact. However, livescore merchants will say sir Cliftord(MBE) is better. He's like Raphinha but right footed with even more pace to burn. He presses like a demon nonstop and can run in behind. Flick will love him, barca fans will adore him. Yamal and co will be happy to have him. If the rumors are true, Gordon for me doesn't even look like a Deco signing. This is simply a direct request from Flick...

Romero is saying Gordon's arrival won't stop a striker arriving though I have doubts in him after he reported deco was in London yesterday for Pedro which we are now seeing it was for Gordon. Gordon in our team will improve our PnP, alternative to raphinha and potentially his successor when he leaves. I think with the way we have begun this window player departures will also be aggressive so we might still get a striker, let them just strengthen the defence with whatever comes out of the sales too

If we're really interested we'll find a middle ground between 60-70m. Porto are tough negotiators especially now they just triggered his mandatory clause from arsenal but deco has a good relationship with them and if they can't agree we'll move to another alternative on Flick's preferred profiles. I think this summer will be like the 2022 window but let's wait and see
