The Presidency on Wednesday vowed to prosecute Nigerian social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, VDM, for allegedly sharing fake audio of President Bola Tinubu.

DAILY POST reports that a post by an X user, @Pious_minister showed when an AI generated audio of the President was played in VDM’s video.

The audio captured Tinubu’s voice, saying that the insecurity in Nigeria would continue because Nigerians didn’t vote for him in 2023.

Reacting, Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga in a post on his official X handle, said the VDM would be made to face the full weight of the law.

He wrote, “This VDM needs to face the weight of the law for being the conveyor and disseminator of a fake audio of President Tinubu.

“This is a clear case of an egregious abuse of the social media platform”.

However, a quick check by DAILY POST revealed that VDM has no such audio in his videos.

It's NECESSARY for everybody to learn a lesson and learn it the hard way.

Let's just not be picky about it.

For one, the bandits boldly showing their face, while ransacking whole towns, beheading a teacher, kidnapping children, should also be PROSECUTED TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW.

And also talk of Karma for said VDM, how will you like your own treasonable offense 😂. You jail person for defamation, dem jail you for whatever the allegation is now.

That voice of VDM is for another video he made, the poster just put his voice on the Tinubu voice that is obviously AI-generated
So Onanuga should go and look for the poster, who appears to be a Tinubu follower(from his digital footprint) trying to set the VDM boy up against the government.
I hope VDM can do the needful, get the boy picked up and jailed for a very loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time

I don’t support useless government but VDM has caused more problems and disunity among the youths and other influencers in Nigeria than the useless government themselves.

How can a so called useless activist be fighting every successful youth week in week out just because of idiotic ego and jealousy. The government should go ahead and arrest him he ought to be arrested long ago and any Ratels that also come out to protest should also be arrested. To me Ratels are terrorists. The only thing Ratels and VDM has brought to the country is fighting, bullying and making sure VDM critics account is bind. This group of Rascals are evil and d e m o n I c.

We need sanity and cooperation among the youth and not manipulation and divisions.
