My cousin has a business passed down from his father. . His father is late
When he was trying to keep the business running. His sisters were far away in their husbands homes far far away.

He got visa to Finland
He was so distressed before he traveled out and whole of us were jubilating for him that he finally japa. He was so worried about his father's business

He said his 2 sisters never cared about the business and he fears if he japa the business will fold.
The 2 girls were busy with their families and couldn't come to help him to maintain the business.
It hit me whenever I think of it

God forbid if otedola dies
Who will run his company? Cuppy?? No
Imagine if he has a son like Mr Eazi
He will sleep very well knowing his legacy will be protected.

Unless you have no plan of handing over your business to your children.
Having girl children is a loss

Do you know the terms and condition Dangote set for his daughters husband.

Some women husband will marry her and take her far away from the family.
I'm 100% sure that Dangote gave his daughters husband criteria to marry them and one of them is to make her available to run his business.
Some husbands will tell her to focus on raising family Instead of her father business.

Notice that all his daughter live in Nigeria
Because Dangote know some men will marry and relocate outside with the girl this separating her from her father business.

It takes the special grace of God for a girl to have interest in her father's work.

Look at the daughter of Abc transport one if the multimillion dollar companies but now it has died off and his daughter is nothing to write home about

Until nairaland is called out on a national ot international stage as a platform hostile to women, this nonsense will continue.

Beyond anti-women or Female narratives being peddled by the post, the Op’s conclusion is too data bereaved and lacks depth.

As a male factor, I have seen females run their father’s businesses even before the man passes on. Where I come from, inheritances are shared equally amongst the children, even if the first child is a female, she can still preside over the administration of the assets of the deceased and it’s been working very well.

Moreover, as an employee and employer, I have seen females do better at what they do than many of their male counterparts.

In view of the above, I will say that the premise upon which the Op based his argument was an outlier, a one-in-several situations, so his assumption is faulty and conclusion a nullity in my view.
