Massive congrats to crystal palace for winning their first ever European competition and securing Europa league tickets. And to think they were not even supposed to play in this tournament, now they've qualified for the Europa league they've always deserved and Nottingham Forest that snatched their slot is nowhere to be found. That rayo vallecano team is devoid of raw talent. They didn't even threaten Henderson. Palace was there for the taking with their poor defence and porous midfield. Congrats to palace and England though. At least those that have been talking down on English football can now see that English teams are the best in Europe. femi4:Perhaps boring as far as the 1st half is concerned. But the game lit up in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half with firing attacks from Crystal Palace which eventually led to the winning goal. Azazyel:When you remove the top two teams who get almost all the Laliga tv revenues the rest of the league is wretchedly poor. Without European cash some will have to one insolvent for long. That is why the best Spanish gaffers ply their trade in Europe. With miniscule budgets there is hardly anything to attract the best players in the world to most of their teams. I mean what Wolves got for being relegated, 118 million pounds was more than the 55 million Barca fot for winning Laliga. The difference is huge. 5 Likes |

dominique:That's the way of things in this life. Last season, while Palace thought they had been given a raw deal by Uefa rules by being denied the Europa league spot, they didn't know that they were being led by the hand of destiny to play and win the conference league. It's all turned out for good in the end for them. And a player like Brendan Johnson should consider himself lucky. He won the Europa League last season with Tottenham, got signed up by Palace this season, ended up winning yet another Uefa trophy. 13 Likes |

sweetjohn:Leave am him no know anything. 2004/5 three English club of Liverpool, Man United and Chelsea made the semi final with Liverpool eventually winning it. 2007/8 and 2008/9 three English clubs made it to the semi final with Man United winning 2008 and losing 2009 to Barcelona playing unbeaten from 2007 till when the lost to Barcelona. No other league have done this. . Same with finals playing among themselves both in ucl and Europa, no league comes close. Since the inception of the conference league 5 seasons ago, English clubs has won 3 of it. West Ham, Chelsea and Palace. Mehn! You're spot on when you say Spain haven't dominated like that.
